First Impressions: Nip + Fab Makeup

Sunday 30 July 2017

Nip + Fab is a skincare brand I have used for years and so when I heard they were bringing out a makeup collection, I knew I simply had to try it!
Starting with one of my favourite makeup products, we have the Matte Liquid Lipstick in Pink Lemonade (£7.95). Now this ended up applying darker than it looked in the tube, so do bare that in mind when choosing a shade, however this is quite a mid-natural nude shade rather than the slightly pinkier nude it looks in the tube. The formula has been created using shea butter and Vitamin E and so it is super moisturising on the lips and the intensely whipped formula gives full coverage and I found that it didn’t budge nor did it fade away.
Colour Correcting is pretty big still at the moment and so I opted to try the Colour Corrector in the shade Peppermint (£8.95). It comes in a tube, with a brush applicator, but be super careful when trying to get the product out as a LOT comes out at once. Although I was super impressed with the formula and coverage, and as I suffer from red patches especially on my cheeks, a green colour corrector is perfect for this, and I really did like this product, I just wouldn’t recommend applying it straight to the face.
As you may know I love a Highlight Palette so I was super keen to try this one out. The palette comes with six good-sized pans of highlighters, in colours of creams, peaches, bronzes and tans, and so there’s a shade for all year round, no matter your skin tone or colour. The formula is super creamy and doesn’t leave a powdery finish on the skin and each one is really pigmented to leave such a pretty hint of shimmer and highlight on the skin. I believe this is the only highlight palette available however if they brought out other shades I would definitely try them out.
Nip + Fab makeup is available instore and online at Superdrug.

All the Loves,

Kathryn x
