Colourpop Haul

Wednesday 2 August 2017

I recently spied the Colourpop Fem Rosa Karrueche x Colourpop She Shadow Palette (what a mouthful!), and decided I simply must have it, and as Colourpop offer free international shipping when you spend $50, it would have been stupid not to order other products (haha), so I thought I would show you my latest Colourpop Haul…
Starting with the main reason for my haul, we have the Fem Rosa Karrueche x Colourpop She Shadow Palette ($16/£12.18), and as I am always honest, I really don’t know who this person is, but they made a great palette. It’s a pretty little thing, covered in roses, and holds 12 eyeshadows, in soft mauve tones and buttery metallic finishes. The top row are shimmery shades, the middle are more glittery and the bottom four shades are matte. They all work really well individually or with each other, with some neutrals along with more daring shades like reds and purples. They are super pigmented, and I actually prefer them to work with than the individual Super Shock Eyeshadows as they can sometimes be a little too soft.
Talking of the Super Shock Eyeshadows, I did order two which shades caught my eye - Banana Daiquiri ($5/£3.81) and Steele ($5/£3.81) from the Amanda Steele x Colourpop Collaboration. The Super Shock Eyeshadows are creme-powder formulations and have a unique bouncy texture, which I do find sometimes quite hard to work with but the colours are always stunning. Banana Daiquiri is an iridescent teal with multi-coloured micro glitter and this looks insane in Summer with a tan, whereas Steele is a pretty pale pink full of pink micro glitter, and is very girly! Both very different, but both just as gorgeous.
Moving on to lip products, of which there are six, we start with the Match.com x Colourpop Collaboration and the Mwah Ultra Matte Lip ($6/£4.57). It is a gorgeous raspberry red with their ultra matte finish, and $1 from each product goes to the GLAM4GOOD Foundation, a non-profit organisation that creates and celebrates social impact and empowerment through beauty and style. You also get a 7 day Match.com subscription, but I’m not sure I’ll be using that!
I actually ordered more glosses than anything, and I should really have concentrated when ordering as glosses generally aren’t my preference. However, Karrueche is back with the Lychee Me Ultra Glossy Lip ($6/£4.57). This is a high shine gloss with a hint of colour with a moisturising, non-sticky, comfortable formula. Lychee Me is a warm nude beige in this sheer finish. As I mentioned, I’m not a massive fan of sheer glosses, but it is a lovely, wearable shade.
Next up is the collaboration with ILUVSARAHII - I am such a bad blogger as I really have no clue who these people are, so please excuse my ignorance! However, this is the Ultra Glossy Lip ($6/£4.57) again except this one has medium coverage and a creme finish. The shade is called Curvii and is a slightly sparkly light peach nude, which is totally wearable no matter your skin tone or colour.
There was a deal on at the time, where you got a free Fem Rosa Karrueche x Colourpop Ultra Glossy Lip in Polished which is always a bonus. This is a highly metallic dark bronze lip gloss, which isn’t something I would necessarily pick up myself, but I am always willing to give makeup a whirl, so I will definitely try this out, although perhaps more towards Autumn/Winter.
A product from Colourpop I hadn’t tried before are the Blotted Lips ($5/£4.67), so of course I got the collaboration version! This is the Alexis Ren x Colourpop edition of the Blotted Lip and is in the shade Deja Vu, a pink nude. Blotted Lips are a sheer matte lipstick which gives a casual wash of colour that is both buildable and lightweight. So far, so good!
One of Colourpop’s most recent release is their Crystal collection comprising of different shades and products and so I ordered one of the Crystal Lip Balms ($5/£3.81), in the shade Rose Quartz, an opalescent rose, infused with crushed Rose Quartz crystals. These are moisturising lip balms that can be used alone or as an opalescent topper for your favourite lipsticks.
You can find all these products and more online at Colourpop.

All the Loves,

Kathryn x

  1. The Fem Rosa palette is incredibly stunning! I haven't tried their pressed eyeshadow formula yet but I've heard really good things about them :)
