First Impression: Glittereyes

Saturday 12 August 2017

I am such a magpie when it comes to glitter, which is probably why highlighters are my favourite everyday product, as it's the closest I can get to a glitter ball look without wearing actual glitter, which when working at a Builder's Merchants, isn't going to work so well for me. So when I recently discovered Glittereyes online, I fell in love. They have pressed glitters, loose glitters, chunky glitters, basically alllllllll the glitter! Here are some perfect products for festivals and Summer holidays...
Loose Chunky Glitters (£6.99 each)
These are not for the faint-hearted, but if you want that wow factor with your glitter, then these are the ones for you! The pots of loose chunky glitter come in a wide variety of shapes, designs, colours and finishes, and here are some of my favourites. Firstly we have Mythical, which is possibly the largest glitter I have come across, and its hexagonal iridescent blue reminds me of a mermaid's tale!
Next, we have Celestial, a much smaller hexagonal shaped glitter, which colour-wise is a bit of a Barbie pink, but as it is iridescent, it shines light blues and oranges also.
Then we have Aurora Borealis, which contains two sizes of glitter, first you have large round circles, and then much smaller hexagonal shapes. The larger dots are slightly more mirrored, but both are iridescent and give off a rainbow of colour.
The final of my four I unfortunately couldn't find the name for, but I love it's uniqueness. This is quite mirrored iridescent diamond-shaped glitter, which gives off multi colours, and I think this would definitely be great for creating a one-off festival look.
Moving on to pressed glitters, and you can buy the Glittereyes Empty Magnetic Palettes for just £4.99 which house up to five glitters, giving you the opportunity to create your very own customised glitter palette.
Glittereyes also provide the perfect tools and applicators to help you get the most from your glitters. Starting with the Glitter Fix (£2.99), this adhesive helps particularly with the loose glitters, to ensure your glitter stays in place all day long. I also found the Double Ended Applicator Brush (£2.99) super handy, especially for applying the pressed glitters.
The Pressed Glitters each cost £6.99 and arrive in individual packets, which you can then take out the pan and place in the magnetic palettes. They are packed full of glitter, and I would definitely recommend using the Glitter Fix to keep them in place. Here are some of my favourite shades...

Glistening Azure is such a pretty blue, filled with lighter iridescent blue sparkles, which is going to look outstanding with a tan!

Then, we have Lavender Lights, a mainly light purple glitter featuring the odd iridescent piece of glitter, which looks so pretty with blue eyes.
Bare'ly There is a rose gold glitter mixed with a champagne shade for a really beautiful combination. I would say this is a lower key shade of glitter due to the colour being more natural.

Again, I am sorry but I could not find the shade name of my final Pressed Glitter, however I love the dusky pink base of this one, and it is also filled with rainbow iridescent sparkle.

I loved these products so much, that I since ordered another five pan of pressed glitters and a couple of pots of the fine loose glitter! Such a glitter girl...

You can find these stunners and more online at Glittereyes.

All the Loves,
Kathryn x
