Neutrogena Hydro Boost Body Duo

Monday 16 April 2018

I haven’t delved into the world of Neutrogena for a long time, but recently discovered their new Hydro Boost range - there are body care products and facial skincare products to try out. As I have quite a few skincare products I have been testing lately, I decided to opt for the body care products, and opted for a couple which I thought sounded right up my street, although I definitely want to give the facial products a whirl at a later date.
I do get dry skin throughout all seasons - sunshine dries my skin out, the cold dries my skin out - basically I can’t win so Hydro Boost products seem to be just the ticket! I opted for the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Express Hydrating Spray (£5.49) and the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Whipped Body Balm (£4.99). The body care collection also includes a Hand Gel Cream and a Body Gel Cream.

On a daily basis, I much prefer a moisturising spray, as I am super lazy in all honesty, and I don’t always like waiting for a thicker product to melt into the skin, so this was definitely a product I was excited to try. This is a refreshing, ultra-light and cooling formula which is powered by Hyaluronic Acid, which is capable of holding 1000x its weight in water. The Express Hydrating Spray locks in hydration and maintains the skins moisture balance by continuously releasing hydration as and when you need it. Therefore, it isn’t something you have to keep reapplying throughout the day - I use it once in a morning and once before bedtime and I find this works for me. It instantly sinks into the skin, without leaving a sticky residue behind and it is lightly scented with a comforting fragrance. It can be used closer to the skin for a moisturising spritz or further away for a refreshing watery mist - ideal for holidays and on the go hydration!
After ten days in the Floridian sunshine and splashing around in swimming pools, my skin needed something a little more intense, which was why I chose the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Whipped Body Balm. A refreshing, ultra-light, whipped formula which absorbs super quickly into the skin, this has also been formulated with Hyaluronic Acid to hold that extra moisturisation. Almost instantaneously, my skin did feel much more replenished, and after a couple of uses, my skin looked healthier too. I tend to use more as a night time treatment, and you could even use a thicker layer to wake up to extra nourished skin. As it is such a cooling product, I would definitely recommend this as a holiday essential after a day in the warm sunshine and just like with the Spray, it melts into the body as it is a balm rather than a cream, and is even suitable for the most sensitive of skins. Scent-wise, it is also a very light fragrance, but also quite refreshing upon application, so for those who hate overpowering scents in products, this one will definitely not disappoint.
You can find the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Skincare and Bodycare collection instore and online at Boots.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
