Too Faced Spring 2018 Collection

Wednesday 11 April 2018

Too Faced is one of the brands I get most excited about, as their collections get better each time! When I went to Orlando in March I had a makeup wish list and on it was the Too Faced Life’s A Festival Eyeshadow Palette, however when I got to Sephora they didn’t have the range in. Therefore when I got back to England, I ordered it online at Debenhams, and as they were doing a beauty card offer, where you got £10 worth of points when you spent £50, I ordered another couple of bits to go with it which I had also been eyeing up.
Starting with the main event, the Peace, Love & Unicorns eyeshadow palette (£35), which is very girly with its sparkly unicorns and padded rainbow-shaped design. The palette opens up to reveal a holographic base along with 12 circular shadow pans and a larger shadow pan. There are only two matte shades within this palette, so if sparkle is your thing, then this is the palette for you!
The shades within the palette include;
Top Row, Left to Right:
Young & Free is a bright, medium pink with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish.
Rainbow Life is a muted, medium pinky-red with warm undertones and pink sparkle over a more matte finish.
Sunset Dream is a medium, rusty orange with warm, golden shimmer.
Fun in the Sun is a bright, yellow gold with warm, orange undertones and gold-to-green shifting pearl paired with a metallic finish.
Fireflies is a bright, light-medium chartreuse with warm undertones and a sparkling, metallic sheen.
Funtasy is a medium-dark, berry-purple with subtle, cool undertones and a satin finish.
Dusk Teal Down is a medium, bluish-teal with a metallic finish.
Middle Row, Left to Right:
Euphoric is a light, peachy coral with warm, orange undertones and a metallic sheen.
Desert Vibes is a light-medium brown with warm, orange undertones and a matte finish.
Beamin’ is a bright, white gold with warm, yellow shimmer and a metallic finish.
Mystic Rain is a bright, light pinky-lavender with warmer undertones and a blue-to-teal shifting pearl paired with a metallic finish.
Artist Pass is a medium-dark, reddish copper base with blue-to-teal shifting pearl paired with a frosted sheen.
Bottom:
Unicorn Tears is a light beige base with iridescent, blue-to-violet shifting pearl and larger sparkle.
These duo-chrome eyeshadows provide you with shade-shifting colours which are fun to explore and they give excellent colour payoff to say that they are shimmery shades. The shadows are richly pigmented and have a soft, velvety texture so they don’t irritate the eyelid or pull against the skin when applying. They even have a citrus infused scent! I think that my favourite shades from this palette have to be Euphoric, Dusk Teal Dawn and the Too Faced classic Unicorn Tears!

Also from this collection, I ordered the Unicorn Tears Magic Crystal Mystical Effects Lip Topper (£16), which is available in four different shades. The packaging is just as pretty as the palette, and thanks to a holographic formula, each shade shifts in colour as it is struck by light, transforming any lip look with a mystical finish.
I opted for Unicorn Tears, again the original iridescent shade from Too Faced, and it comes in holographic blue packaging and does look slightly baby blue in the tube, with a soft pink undertone and tiny specks of lilac glitter running throughout it.

The applicator is a slanted sponge tip which makes it super easy to swipe onto the lips, and doesn’t feel overly sticky once applied. The shimmer and sheen it leaves behind makes me wish this was a highlighter and for a shimmery gloss I was pleasantly surprised by the staying power!
Not strictly a newbie, but I have been wanting to try the Glitter Pop Liquid Eyeliner (£16), which comes in eight stunning high-sparkle shades - I am definitely a glitter girl and these will be perfect for Summer and any festivals you are going to be attending. It was super hard to pick just one shade, but I opted for Yes Way Rose, a rose gold glitter with flecks of pink running throughout it.
The magic with this product is that it is a peel off eyeliner! So there will be no vigorous rubbing over your sensitive eye area, you simply apply, wait five minutes for the product to set and then off you go looking a million dollars! I was a little dubious about the peel off claims, and it doesn’t peel away like a sticker would for example, but it definitely flaked off very easily when I went to peel it off.

The Glitter Pop Liquid Eyeliner stays on amazingly well - once set I had no budging throughout the day, and I 100% want to try some of the other shades! Fairy Queen (a very pretty pink) and Hey Mr DJ (a black base with gold sparkle) are high on my list!

Too Faced do ship the the UK online here, but Debenhams is my go-to place for Too Faced as with the US site you get quite high shipping and customs charges.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
