L’Oreal are really upping their lip care game at the moment - with the gorgeous Lip Oils and now these nourishing Lip Scrubs. These Exfoliating Lip Scrubs come in three fruity scents, Berry Blast (baby pink), Melon Breeze (mint green) and Peach Twist (pale orange) and have been enriched with shea butter for nourishment and care. They are gentle on the lips and the sugar scrub melts right into the skin to instantly smooth the lips and add a good dose of moisturisation.
They smell divine, and come in candy-coloured twist-up tubes for on the go application. The scrubs themselves have quite a creamy base and the exfoliation particles are not harsh on the skin, so they won’t aggravate the delicate lip area. Today I thought I would do a little step by step guide on how to use a lip scrub before applying lipstick to get the perfect pout.
A lip scrub can help remove dead skin cell build-up which can in turn allow for better lipstick application. Apply plenty of your lip scrub of choice to the lips, and use gentle circular movements to exfoliate the skin. Once done, use a warm wet cloth to gently wipe away the lip scrub.
Once you have wiped away the remnants of the scrub, pop on a hydrating lip balm or lip conditioner to smooth and nourish the lips. Then you can go ahead and apply any lip colour of your choice, as you have then prepped the lips for pigment. You should then notice how much more smoothly your lipstick applies and sits on the lips. Now, who’s ready for some puckering up?
