Complete Haircare with Umberto Giannini

Wednesday 2 August 2017

As a beauty blogger I am lucky enough to try so many new products, covering makeup, skincare, body care and haircare to name but a few, and so sometimes I forget about old favourites. Umberto Giannini was definitely my most used and loved haircare brand during my twenties, and so I thought I would revisit the brand, who now have complete haircare collections, with every product you could need for amazing looking locks.
Indulge Wash Nourishing Shampoo (£7) and Indulge Care Nourishing Conditioner (£7)
The sensory experience of the Umberto Giannini Indulge collection has come straight from their salon expertise and it will allow you to transport you to a place of calm and wellbeing. I much prefer to use the same Shampoo and Conditioner as a pair rather than mixing and matching, and this is such a beautiful pairing. They have been formulated with plenty of moisturising ingredients to leave the hair silky smooth, and well nourished. I only shampoo my hair once as it is quite fine, but you can do two shampoos per wash if you wear a lot of product, and then for the conditioner, I tend to leave this on my hair for an extra 5-10 minutes so that it can really work its magic, but if you’re in a rush, this isn’t necessary. I love how after drying, there is no stickiness and my hair doesn’t feel heavy from the conditioner, like some brands can feel like, so these are definitely still a winner for me.
Pick Me Up Moisturising Nutrient Spray (£7)
I wasn’t fully sure what a Nutrient Spray was, but I am so glad I tried it. This is an all-rounder multi-tasking genius which primes the hair, detangles it, smoothes, strengthens and protects your tresses from heat damage! It can be used on its own on damp hair soften, smooth and enrich, or as a base under all other styling products to really nourish the hair. Even from the first one or two uses, my hair definitely felt more moisturised and its suitable for all hair types, and as my hair is fine, I was worried it may feel too heavy or sticky, but apart from the benefits I couldn’t even tell I was wearing it.
Over Indulge Nourishing Hair Mask (£8.50)
For the ultimate in hair treats, you need to try the Over Indulge Nourishing Hair Mask! This is an intensive treatment which instantly transforms the hair in just one use and is full of moisturising and nourishing properties to take extra care of your hair. The Mask comes complete with a hair cap (very sexy!), and you simply squeeze the moisture from the hair after shampooing, and smooth out the mask evenly on the hair from roots to tips. Then gather the hair to the top of your head and cover it with the hair cap, and then sit back and relax for three minutes, or longer if you have the time. If your hair type is normal, I would recommend using this once a day, but if your hair is dry or damaged, then this can be used every wash. It also smells incredible!
Spoil Me Hair Oil (£8)
This pretty little bottle sure does pack a punch! This luxurious hair oil smooths hair to make it look and feel super silky, as well as protecting your locks against heat, nourishing it and adding shine, as well as being a repairing treatment due to it containing Argan Oil. If you suffer from frizzy hair, a little pump of this magic potion is going to help tame your tresses and if you have dry hair, this is going to make it in so much better condition. After using a few times, I also noticed that it helped to hide any random split ends and as mentioned, I do have fine hair, and this definitely doesn’t weigh my hair down, so is definitely suitable for all skin types.
The Umberto Giannini Indulge collection is available instore and online at Boots.

All the Loves,
Kathryn x
