Testing Out LOLA Cosmetics

Wednesday 20 February 2019

As a beauty blogger I get to try out a lot of different brands, and one which I haven't tried before is LOLA Make Up. I had seen them on social media before but hadn't had the chance to try them out until now. I was very kindly sent a few of their bestselling products to try and I thought I would let you know how I got on with them.
LOLA is designed in Britain by a creative team of beauty experts and makeup artists and they create professional, cruelty-free makeup for everyone, no matter your age, skin type or colouring. The brand is very hands-on with their customers, often presenting tutorials and makeup tips. I like that, I like it a lot, it shows the brand cares about the customers.
My eyelashes are super straight, short, fair and fine and so I was really pleased to see the LOLA Mega Volume Mascara (£11.95) in my package. The mascara arrives in sleek black packaging with the LOLA logo in white which looks really classy. The wand has a natural bristle style brush on the end which is quite large which I love as it adds volume and thickness to the lashes. When I comb the brush through my lashes, it doesn't pull or drag on them, and does a really great job of covering them without them clumping together and I was impressed with how my lashes not only looked more voluminous but also nicely spaced out. The formula for this mascara moisturises and protect the lashes, and so it is quite a smooth formula and I found that there was no crumbling off later in the day.
Sticking with the eyes, we have the LOLA Automatic Eye Pencil (£8.95), which is available in six different shades, and here I have shade 001 Black. As a contact lens-wearer I struggle so badly to get an eyeliner which works in my water-line, never mind one that actually stays there, but this one does and I am so happy because I think liner in the water-line can make such a difference to an eye look. The liner is ultra-slim, which is why it is great for getting into smaller areas, and has a twist-up mechanism so there is no need for sharpening, although if you did need to make the tip sharper, there is a handy little sharpener on the opposite end of the pencil. The pigment is so good, and the non-oily formula contains Carnauba and Candelilla waxes which is why it is super soft to apply and I am definitely going to be taking a look at the other colours available.
Finally, I got to try one of the LOLA Matte Liquid Lipsticks Love Collection (£7.95). There are four shades available, and here I have shade 01 First Date, which is a pretty dusky rose shade perfect for day or night. As soon as I swatched this on my Instagram (kathrynsloves), I could feel how super silky and soft the formula is, it literally glides onto the lips, and feels ultra lightweight and so comfortable when you are wearing it. There is no stickiness, no drying the lips out and the doe-foot applicator makes it easy to get a perfect pout in seconds. The pigment is great, you get a good coverage and you can actually also use this as a cheek stain! Y'all know I love a multi-use product as it makes for less packing. I cannot get enough of this silky lipstick and even though it dries matte, the formula contains jojoba oil and shea butter to keep your lips well moisturised and nourished whilst wearing it - winner!
You can find these beauties and much more online at LOLA.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx

  1. I think, no one give chance for testing. Females will be excited for these products. Similarly, I am giving you reliable Roofers in Waterbury CT service under the expert team.
