Introducing True Skincare

Saturday 13 July 2019

As much as I am a makeup magpie, I love having the chance to try out so many gorgeous skincare products. As a teenager I never bothered with my skin as more often than not all I would see in the shops is Clearasil and Clean & Clear, but now there are so many brands out there, bringing us products for all ages and skin types. A new brand to myself and the blog is True Skincare and in true Kathryn's Loves style, let me tell you a little about the brand.
True Skincare harnesses the power of nature through 100% natural ingredients as well as translating some of the ingredients into English so you know exactly what is going in to your skincare. None of their products include any chemicals, artificial fragrances or parabens and they use 100% organic ingredients wherever possible. Along with being certified by the Soil Association, they are also a Leaping Bunny approved brand by Cruelty Free International so you know that none of their products have been tested on animals. True Skincare also use glass and cardboard where possible to cut down on the use of plastic and their products are very well-priced.

Starting off with the True Skincare Certified Organic Clarifying Safflower & Gernaium Cleansing Oil (£12.00), this comes in a gorgeous matte glass bottle and you receive 100ml of product. I just think everything always looks so nice in glass bottles! This light cleansing oil contains Safflower, Geranium, Jojoba and Vitamin E to remove makeup, daily grime and impurities from the skin, whilst also nourishing and balancing the skin. This is for oily to normal skin types and I found this great for removing my eye makeup, as it even removed my mascara without me having to rub harshly on that delicate area. The star ingredient is Safflower as it is rich in Linoleic Acid, an omega-6, which locks moisture into the skin whilst also helping to unclog pores and my pores have definitely improved since using this cleansing oil. A lot of people are often wary of using oils on oily skin, but this is pretty lightweight and it will help to balance the skin out so that it doesn't keep producing so much oil.
True Skincare have a variety of Facial Oils available for different skin types, and the True Skincare Certified Organic Rehydrating Rosehip & Rosemary Facial Oil is the one for dehydrated skin. The Oil comes in a 30ml frosted glass bottle complete with dropper to control the amount of product you are using, and 30ml is normally the amount you would get for a serum, so this is excellent value at £13.50. The Rehydrating Oil has been created to rejuvenate and hydrate the skin to leave an even, radiant complexion, with Rosehip locking in moisture whilst helping to reduce the appearance of scars, dark spots and fine lines, which many oils are brilliant for. The other key ingredient Rosemary, is rich is antioxidant and antiseptic properties, ridding the skin of impurities and helping to maintain a healthy, clear skin. Even though I have combination skin, I was informed by a facialist that even my oily spots have dryness to them, so this is perfect for balancing that out.
If you have oily to combination skin, then you might want to try the True Skincare Certified Organic Balancing Safflower & Basil Facial Oil (£13.50). If you suffer from acne, then the Safflower is going to fight against that and the Basil will rid the skin of toxins to prevent breakouts. This is an ultra lightweight oil which is not going to clog your pores, but work with the sebum your skin is producing to unclog them and reduce any blemishes on the skin whilst locking moisture in, to keep your skin nourished and hydrated. As well as reducing toxins, Basil also contains antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a great ingredient to prevent whiteheads, blackheads and blemishes appearing on the skin. Just like the packaging of the Rehydrating Serum, this one is just as beautifully packaged, and comes boxed in what looks like a watercolour cardboard.
You can find these products and more online at True Skincare here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
