Bubu Skincare Sheet Masks Review

Thursday 14 November 2019

I love trying out new skincare brands, and in particular, sheet masks, so when I was recently emailed to ask if I would like to try Bubu Skincare Sheet Masks, I jumped at the chance. Bubu Skincare is a brand that is new to me, and was created with the purpose of promoting that there is nothing better than just being yourself and loving the skin you are in, which I think is the perfect sentiment. Bubu stands for Be U, Be Unique and features a love heart about the u to symbolise self love. This brand new skincare brand has launched with five bespoke masks to choose from, where every skincare concern is catered for and they are suitable for all skin types. Bubu Skincare has been designed to meet the ethos of being environmentally aware, with their Glitterati Masks being suitable for vegans, containing only environmentally-friendly sparkle and all products being cruelty free.
The first of three masks I was very kindly sent is the Bubu Skincare #t-spot Blemish Busting Mask, suitable for all skin types. This sheet mask helps to eliminate breakouts and blemishes and is formulated with a unique blend of Niacinamide, natural actives and a potent secret serum. Niacinamide is a form of Vitamin B3 and helps to control excess sebum and is great for an oily or blemished skin. #t-spot also contains Pro-Vitamin B5, which supports stabilising the skin's natural repair and barrier process. The masks, are, of course, single use and #t-spot is one of the Glitterati Masks and so includes a bit of shimmer within it, but this doesn't transfer onto the skin. The mask comes in two parts, which I love in sheet masks as then you can really shape it to your face shape, and you apply it to the skin, sit back and relax for 10-15 minutes and then remove. I like to massage in any excess serum for longer lasting results.
If your skin tends to get dirty pretty easily, whether that be because of wearing makeup a lot, working in a dirty environment, or travelling on public transport and living or working in the city, then the Bubu Skincare #feelingdirty Pollution Busting Sheet Mask is the one for you! #feelingdirty is a preventative sheet mask, and so you are best using this in the morning, after cleansing for 10-15 minutes whilst you bathe or shower. The formula for #feelingdirty includes Advanced Biotech Complex which helps protect against environmental toxins from city environments and Sage Leaf Extract, which contains high levels of antioxidants to help combat free radicals. Also suitable for all skin types, I found that this makes a great makeup primer, and my foundation went on so much smoother in the morning after using the mask. Just like with the #t-spot mask, this is also a two-part mask, so application is a doddle!
Did you know that if you have dead skin cells, then it doesn't matter what skincare products you use, they won't work even half as well?! So, be sure to get rid of all of those horrible dead skin cells with the Bubu Skincare #stripitoff Exfoliating Sheet Mask. This unique fibrous mask base combines a gentle but effective Charcoal, Clay and AHA combination to rid the skin of those dead skin cells, leaving you with a smooth, fresh and glowy complexion. Key ingredients in #stripitoff include AHAs which are derived from the citrus family of oranges and lemons, and Charcoal and Kaolin Clay, which are great for detoxifying the skin. It is really important for all skin types to exfoliate the skin at least once a week to get optimum results, and this is by far one of the most relaxing ways to do so.
The Bubu Skincare Masks cost £7.00 each and you can find them online at Bubu Skincare here, and Pretty Little Thing here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
