Urban Decay Afterdark Eyeshadow Palette + Swatches

Saturday 15 July 2017

I am currently super obsessed with anything glittery, sparkly or shimmering for the eyes, the more magpie attractive, the better for me. If full on glitter isn't your thing, but you want to tinkle in shimmers and sparkles, then the Urban Decay Afterdark Eyeshadow Palette is for you! What better excuse is there for shimmer than Summer, festivals and holidays.

The Urban Decay Afterdark Eyeshadow Palette comes packaged in a rainbow iridescent quality palette, which opens up to reveal a full sized mirror on the inside lid, ten stunning eyeshadow shades and a double ended eyeshadow brush.

There's pretty much a shade for every taste and occasion, totally covering the rainbow, so let's take a look at the colours...(Top Left to Right, Bottom Left to Right)

Alter: An iridescent cream
Scene: Pretty coral pink with light gold shimmer
Supersonic: A deep gold toned red
Sinful: Mustard gold which will look insane with blue eyes
Off Duty: A warm, light bronze
Druggie: Quite a controversial shade name, however this is a mid purple shimmer
Backfire: A warm, red/purple
Lounge: Khaki green with lighter green sparkle
Fringe: Stunning emerald green
Paralyzed: Royal Blue with matching shimmer

As expected with such a high end, cult brand, these eyeshadows are super pigmented, so easy to blend and mix up, and there's very little fallout from the product and I didn't get any movement throughout the day.

A little tip which can be applied to any kind of eyeshadow, is that by wetting your makeup brush, with either a makeup Setting Spray or water, this will intensify the pigments, giving deeper coloured ur and highlighting any sparkle or shimmer within the shadows. You're welcome. :)

The Urban Decay Afterdark Eyeshadow Palette costs £39.50 and is available here.

Do you think this is something you would use or do you prefer more neutral tones?

All the Loves,

Kathryn x
