We are nearing the end of Summer now, but there are still so many parties, festivals, and holidays to attend, and so Urban Decay very kindly sent me a few products which are bound to get you in that festival mood. Although, I personally would wear these products on a daily basis because I am ALL about that sparkly life.
Heavy Metal Glitter Liner (£15 each)
I think the Heavy Metal Glitter Liners were one of the first things I ever bought from Urban Decay years and years ago, and they're definitely a bit of an icon nowadays. The glitter is suspended in a gel, so it won't separate in the bottle and the formula includes peach and cucumber extract to condition the skin, and carrot extract to smooth and soften, I love how brands do this! You think it's going to be 'just' an eyeliner, but bam, it's also great for your skin too! Heavy Metal liners can be worn alone, with its precise thin-tipped brush to create a super fine, glittery line, or layered with another shade or with eyeshadow - the choice is yours! Here I have ACDC, a gorgeous silver-toned lavender, and AMP, a vivid green and silver glitter.
Sticking with the eyes, and last year saw the release of the Razor Sharp Liquid Eyeliners, which come in a variety of 20 insane shades in a range of finishes such as lacquered creams and metallic shimmers. Razor Sharp enables you to create the finest or thickest of lines, and its formula provides great colour pay-off, dries super quickly and lasts all day long. As the applicator brush is so fine, yet so stable, even the amateur makeup fan is going to be able to create the sharpest of lines every single time, and the handle is also quite long, which is going to enable further stability. Here I have the shade Goldrush, which is a true yellow gold shade full of shimmer and shine.
In the last couple of years, Urban Decay really upped their lip game, with the release of the humongous Vice lipstick collection, followed by their Vice liquid lipstick range, and now we even have Special Effects Topcoats, and boy are they special! These are shade-shifting waterproof lipstick topcoats which can be worn on their own or over cream, matte or metallised shades of lipstick to create a completely customised look. They are available in shimmer, glitter and metallic finishes, so there is something for everyone, and the comfortable gel-cream formula dries super fast, and doesn't leave a sticky feeling on the lips. The Topcoats also create a water-resistant barrier that seals in your colour and prevents it from moving around. Top to bottom swatches include Bruja, a berry with gold pearl, Monarchy, a bright purple sparkle, and Ritual, a smoky blue-grey with iridescent 3D sparkle.
And of course, no makeup look would be complete without a spritz of an Urban Decay Makeup Setting Spray! They are now available in travel sizes of 30ml, so you can have up to 16 hours of makeup protection whilst on the go! This ground-breaking formula is suitable for all skin types, is free of oil and parabens, and features patented Temperature Control Technology, lowering the temperature of your makeup to keep your foundation, eyeshadow, blush and concealer in place - even in hot and humid or cold and windy conditions. Pretty fabulous huh?! Since my operation, and a change in hormones, my skin has been unusually oily, and the ONLY thing that has kept my makeup in place, especially on my T-Zone is the De-Slick version of this Setting Spray. All hail Urban Decay!
You can find these stunners and more online at Urban Decay.
All the Loves,
Kathryn x
