Spa Day: Ye Olde Bell Hotel

Tuesday 10 April 2018

I love nothing more (well maybe Ander Herrera and Sephora) than a trip to the Spa. There is nothing more relaxing and calming than spending the day in somewhere so serene and peaceful, getting pampered, eating delicious homemade food and just having some me-time. Even if it is not a full spa day, I do try my best to get myself booked in for facials and massages 1-2 times a month, and so before I jetted off to Orlando on the 10th March, my long-time friend Kate and I booked in for a Spa Day one Sunday.
We opted for the Ye Olde Bell Hotel which is located in Retford, Nottinghamshire as even though it is a slight drive for us, it was somewhere neither of us have ever been, but which we had had plenty of positive recommendations for. There are a wide variety of treatments and packages to suit all budgets and needs, and we opted for the Mini Meet Up (£99 per person).
The Mini Meet Up includes four blissful hours in the spa, a two course lunch in their Herb Garden Brasserie and a 30 minute treatment of your choice. The options included within the 30-minute treatments are;

Mini Turkish Ritual Massage
Sperience Elements Massage
A Taste of Germaine de Capuccini Mini Facial
Timexpert Rides Collagen Boost Eyes Treatment
I opted for the Sperience Elements Massage – a Feng Shui inspired massage based on the traditional Chinese philosophy which is specifically tailored for you by matching one of 5 oils to your Zodiac sign. This sensual massage helps to relieve tension and negative energy throughout your body.
The spa itself was stunning, and everything was done to the highest of standards. There was even a pool that had a glass door to take you outside without having to get in and out of it. There were multiple experience rooms, and I certainly haven’t experienced anywhere like it before in all the spas I have visited.

The food also exceeded our expectations - it was all made completely fresh, with many different options, including healthy, regular and indulgence. I opted mainly for indulgence, because it is a special treat, and so you may as well be a little naughty! It was presented immaculately and as if it had come direct from one of the highest regarded restaurants around. I could easily go there just to eat!
It was really lovely to catch up with Kate as I had not seen her for quite a long time, and in such a glorious setting too – I would definitely love the stay over here as the hotel was absolutely stunning.

You can find out more about the Ye Olde Bell Hotel and Spa online here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx

  1. I had my Sixth Form prom here and it’s a stunning hotel - but I had absolutely no idea how gorgeous the spa was! It isn’t far from me at all either so I may have to treat myself to a little getaway! xo
