I adore anything coconut scented, it always reminds me of being on holiday, and the benefits of coconut as an ingredient are endless for both the skin, body and hair. Phil Smith’s Be Gorgeous Cocolicious Haircare collection has recently had two new additions - the Cocolicious Firm Hold Hairspray and the Cocolicious Heat Defence Spray.
Phil Smith is an award-winning celebrity hairstylist, with over 20 years industry experience so he certainly knows a thing or two about hair products. The Cocolicious Firm Hold Hairspray (£4) is a firm, yet flexible hairspray which has a touch of magic about it, leaving the hair super shiny and soft, without that stickiness and crispiness some hairsprays can leave behind. I adore how rather than that chemical smell you get with most hairsprays, this one smells of heavenly coconuts from the very first spritz and it is suitable for all hair types, whether yours be straight, fine, curly, wavy, thick or damaged.
I have recently been trying not to use too many heated electrical hair tools as they damage your hair so badly, and have often gone to bed with french plaits in so that my hair is wavy when I wake up in the morning. However, Phil Smith has released the Cocolicious Heat Defence Spray (£3.50), again for all hair types and to give the hair extreme protection from heat. This high-performance heat shield protects the hair without the risk of damage, so you can continue to use tongs, straighteners, hairdryers without risking further damage to your hair. Ooh and it of course has that decadent coconut fragrance to it.
