For the last couple of years, I have been having Shellac gel nail polish on my nails, but after going to Orlando in March, and then booking to go in November as well, I have had to make some cut backs, which includes luxurious manicures. Therefore, I have either been painting my own nails, or when I am wanting something a little more extra, been using the Elegant Touch False Nails, of which I have been a fan of for many years now. Here are some of my favourites…
The Elegant Touch Girls on Tour Beachin’ Baby Nails (£9.95) are the ultimate summer girly nails. They are ultra glossy and some of the nails include sweet arrays of gemstones, all in a gorgeously bright Barbie pink. They have been made into a Stiletto shape, and the kit includes 24 nails, with 12 sizes and a tube of glue, as well as a little nail file to prep your natural nails, or to shape the false ones if they aren’t a perfect fit. When I applied these nails, they lasted at least a week, without flicking off and stayed in perfect condition.
When I used to have Shellac on, I would always have a colour, and then a sprinkle of glitter on the tips or above the cuticles, so when I saw the Elegant Touch Prima Donna Queen of Sass Nails (£9.95), I felt like these were made for me! They are a pretty pale nude shade, and have that sprinkle of gold glitter at the bottom of the nails, and they are definitely my favourite false nails I have come across, as they look so natural! The Queen of Sass Nails have an oval shape to them and look just gorgeous when applied. Again you get 24 nails, in two sizes along with the glue and nail file so application is quick and easy.
My best friend Coral is mermaid-mad, and so she especially would love the Elegant Touch Fantasy Mermaid Magic Nails (£9.95). I really want to give these to her as a gift but she gets false nails applied at a salon, so until she has them removed she wouldn’t be able to use them. The Mermaid Magic Nails come in lilac and light blue and some of the nails are adorned with pretty pearls and gold clam shells. Just like the Queen of Sass Nails, these are shaped ovally and they really do look stunning! I love pearls, so I might have to fight Coral for these ones.
Something new to me is the Elegant Touch Nail Saviour False Nails in Bright Crimson (£9.95), as this pack contains the nails as normal, nail glue, nail file but also a Protective Base Coat to protect the nails before applying the glue which the nails need to adhere to the natural nail. You get quite a good size of the Base Coat so you could definitely use this before applying the other nails too. Bright Crimson is a glossy gel-effect red shade to give your nails a hint of classic glamour and they are shaped in a Stiletto point.
A product I have used many, many times, especially if I am in a rush are the Elegant Touch Instanails (£7.99). I first discovered another brand of these years ago in America, and I love how easy they are to use! This particular colour way is called Spring Fling, and come in a very light nude shade, but are adorned with iridescent crystals and gold embellishments for an understated glamorous look. You simply prep the nails using the wipe included, peel the sticker backs off and press on to the nails. These don’t last as long as the glue-on nails, but you still get at least 3-4 days wear out of them.
These beautiful nails and more designs and colours are available instore and online at Superdrug and Boots.
All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
