How To: Get A Rosy Glow With New CID Cosmetics

Sunday 10 February 2019

With Spring on its way (hurrah!), I am going to show off some products which will help you to get the prettiest rosy glow. New CID Cosmetics recently sent me their i-glow Compact Shimmer Powder and their i-gloss Lip Gloss and they are the most beautiful shades.
If you haven't come across New CID Cosmetics before, let me fill you in... The brand was created in a leading hair, makeover and photography salon, after listening to the thousands of women which came into their salon sharing their makeup insights. The majority of the women felt that makeup shopping was slightly too overwhelming for them due to application and bright colours. New CID Cosmetics work alongside makeup artists to create products which work, for everyone.

The first product I have been trying and loving, is the i-glow Compact Shimmer Blush Powder (£27.50), which is available in two shades - Ice Pop and Coral Crush. Here I have Coral Crush and it is a baked product which contains pinks, light bronzes, pale gold and makes the most delicious shimmering peach blush. The Blush is highly pigmented and so you don't need to use too much product and it feels so smooth on the skin, which also enables it to blend really well and it is buildable so you can control the amount of colour you are wanting. The blush is set in a fresh, clean palette which also has a mirror on the inside of the lid so it is perfect for on-the-go or travelling. I have quite fair skin, especially at this time of year, and the blush gives me such a healthy rosy glow without making me look like Aunt Sally, and I found that I didn't need a highlighter alongside this blush as it illuminated my skin perfectly.
For the lips, I have been using the i-gloss Lip Gloss (£19.00), which is available in ten beautiful shades, including nudes, pinks, mauves enabling their to be a shade to suit most tastes and skin tones. The shade I have here is Spice Berry, and it is hard for the sparkle to show up on camera, but it is a warm-toned nude with delicate gold sparkles running through it - it really is so pretty. The tube itself has a mirror on one side of it, and once you unscrew the cap, it has a light hidden inside so that you can top up your lip gloss wherever you are - I love little touches like that, it makes you feel the brand really goes that extra mile. The applicator is a brush style applicator, which applies the gloss accurately and smoothly. One of the things I like most about the formula is that it looks really glossy, but there is zero stickiness - nobody likes hair in their gloss! I think the Coral Candy and Coral Blossom shades are going to make the perfect Spring to Summer transitional shades so they are definitely on my wish list.
New CID Cosmetics currently have an online offer, so that when you purchase the i-gloss at £19, you can add one of the i-glow blushers for half price, making it £13.75. This offer ends on the 18th February and you can find it online at New CID Cosmetics.
All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
