I am forever changing my hair colour - not dramatically - but between brunette, to blonde, to a bit of both with an ombre effect. I can just never make up my mind. However, in the last few months I have been having a full head of blonde highlights and so when I received the John Frieda Go Blonder Lemon Miracle Masque in the post (Jeez, product names seem to get longer and longer), I couldn't wait to give it a whirl.
Just to be clear, this is not a hair dye, so it isn't going to take you from brunette to blonde and so on, but it has been created to keep chemically treated blonde hair looking fresh. The Go Blonder Lemon Miracle Masque costs £6.99 and comes in a cool-looking 100ml tube and has quite a gentle sweet lemon scent to it. The mask has been created to strengthen lightened blonde hair and helps to protect from future damage.
You can use the Go Blonder Masque before and after lightening or throughout your colour cycle to restore and previously damaged fibres. It is totally safe to use on natural or colour treated hair and can be used on highlights and lowlights too, with it being ammonia and peroxide-free. I normally take this mask after shampooing and apply it to my hair whilst it is wet, taking it all through the lengths of my hair and leaving on for about five minutes before rinsing it off.
I find that after continued use my hair definitely stays looking blonde rather than having a yellow tinge to it or looking dull. John Frieda recommend using the masque weekly after chemical treatments or whenever the hair looks or feels weak, damaged or dull.
You can find the John Frieda Go Blonder Lemon Miracle Masque in-store and online at Boots.
