Latest in Beauty The Glow Down Edit

Monday 1 April 2019

I have been a loyal customer of Latest in Beauty for a good few years now, as they bring something to the beauty box table that not a lot of other brands do. They release amazing collections, which are often partnered with some great companies, and the option to choose your own beauty products from a new selection each month. Last month saw the release of their The Glow Down Edit, which featured products that get you ready for Spring.
For the create your own box, you can choose the option of having 3, 6 or 9 products, and I went for the 6 product box. There are so many products to choose from, and in the past I have always opted for the 9 product box as I could never make my mind up!

I tried to choose a variety of products and items to try out, and with it being Spring now, I thought it the perfect time for some false tan, so I picked the Dr. Organic Moroccan Glow Light Self Tan Mousse. I am quite fair to light skinned and so lighter shaded false tans are much better for my skin tone. This is a full-sized product which similar products cost around £15-20.00. I enjoy a mousse as I find it really easy to apply as you can see where you've put it and I have never had a streaky finish with a mousse before.
Next up, I chose the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Crystal Hold Hairspray (RRP £2.00) which is in a 50ml travel size. I don't use a tonne of hairspray, but sometimes I do need a little, so I thought this was the perfect size. I recently went blonder too, so this helps to make my blonde brighter.
I haven't tried much from the Nuxe skincare range before, but I have heard excellent things, so I also opted for the Nuxe Aquabella Beauty-Revealing Moisturising Emulsion in a 15ml travel size. This is a really fresh and lightweight moisturiser and I often go from a thicker moisturiser in Winter to a more lightweight version in Spring as I find that my skin doesn't need overly moisturising.
The only makeup product which I picked is the Nude by Nature Highlight Stick in the shade 02 Rose, which again is a travel size, but you get plenty of product in here and I never ever finish full sizes of products like this. The colour is a rosey gold and I think this will look lovely in Summer when my skin has a bit more colour to it to give me a healthy glow.

The recent cold weather has ruined my nails and particularly my cuticles, and so I was excited to try the 7th Heaven Strengthen Nail & Cuticle Finger Masques. They are cute little pockets which you pop over each nail and sit back and relax for fifteen minutes whilst the Argan and Pomegranate work their magic.
Finally, I couldn't resist the Kitsch Pearl Hair Ties, as I adore anything pastel coloured and pearly. You get five bobbles and each one has pearls on it, giving your ponytail a little something extra. The bands are super soft and so they won't damage your hair either. Bonus! You also receive a discount card for SpaBreaks.com so you can take some time out and head to a spa for a real treat.

It is also worth mentioning that once a year they do a collaboration with the Sunday Times Style Beauty Awards, where you can choose six products from a premium selection of products for £30.00, and then vote for the ones you have loved. The products include Burberry lip products, fragrances, St Tropez, OPI, This Works and so many more, however they do sell out fast so head over to the page here to get yours.

You can check out Latest in Beauty online here, where you can also subscribe to the 3 product box for £9.00, the 6 product box for £15.00 and the 9 product box for £18.00.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
