Favourite Jeffree Star Lip Products

Wednesday 22 May 2019

I have really gotten into Jeffree Star Cosmetics over the past five months or so, and I thought I would do a round-up of some of my favourite lip products and colours from his collection.
Starting with a lip care product, we have the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Lip Scrub (£12.00), which is available in different scents and within various collections of Jeffree's. The one I have been loving is from the Holiday Collection 2018, but it is still available for purchase now. This is the French Toast flavoured Velour Lip Scrub, and it smells incredible and reminds me of the yummy breakfasts I always have in Orlando. This is very sweet and so if sweet scents are not your thing, I wouldn't recommend this, but I personally love it. The sugar crystals look like brown sugar in the pot and the packaging is to die for. The packaging is mainly white and gold, but the white parts of the jar and lid have lots of iridescent sparkle on them, and I kind of wish he had a lip gloss like it. These lip scrubs are great for getting rid of dry skin on the lips and for making them lovely and smooth before you pop on a slick of colour.
My favourite Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick is in the shade Nathan (£16.00) from the Family Collection. Nathan, or Nate as he is known as is Jeffree's boyfriend and the shade is a nude terracotta, which is a really great every day colour. I have quite fair skin and blue eyes, and this colour seems to suit me really well. It comes in the traditional Jeffree Star Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick packaging, this time with a baby pink and silver touch to it. These liquid lipsticks last so long, and they are comfortable to wear as they don't dry out whilst you are wearing them.
My two favourite shades for this time of year are from the Summer Collection 2018, but again they are still available now. At £16.00 each I don't find these overpriced as some liquid lipsticks often cost a lot more. The two shades I have here are (818) and Thirst Trap, with (818) being a real pop of coral pink and Thirst Trap a metallic beige champagne with a touch of light pink. These are both so different to each other, but they both brighten up my makeup days, which is something I love during Spring and Summer. I didn't know if Thirst Trap would be as long-wearing as the regular formulas due to it being metallic, but it wore just as well. The packaging again is the same as the originals, but with an orange and silver accent.
You can find Jeffree Star Cosmetics online in the UK at Beauty Bay here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
