Tarte Love, Trust & Fairy Dust Eyeshadow Palette Review + Swatches

Monday 20 May 2019

I recently purchased the Tarte Love, Trust & Fairy Dust Eyeshadow Palette and even though it is nowhere near a new release, I just really loved the shades and the packaging is super cute. I got this for my birthday back in March, as my Dad always lets me pick my own presents, and when I tried looking online since it seems to be out of stock. As it was a limited edition release, I don't know if they will bring it back, but I wanted to share it with you anyway as Tarte are often releasing the cutest new collections.
Firstly, the packaging, and even the cardboard container has sparkle and is rose gold and all kinds of pretty. The compact itself is metallic pink, and then the lid, oh my goodness the lid, is full of pink, iridescent glitter and rose gold stars. Does it feel like a little girl's compact? Yeah, kinda, but I certainly have no qualms about that.
You open up the palette to reveal a mirror on the inside of the lid, and as soon as you open it, you get hit with a sweet cocoa/vanilla fragrance which I don't hate. The palette includes ten eye shadow shades and a highlighter shade which you could of course use as an eye shadow too. There is a mixture of shimmers and mattes, and even though the main colour theme of the palette is pink, you get some neutrals in there also.
The shades included are;
Mystical - Metallic Magenta
Wish - Matte Deep Plum
Gossamer - Matte Cream
Frolic - Matte Light Brown
Twinkle - Metallic Light Rose Gold
Flitter - Metallic Rose Pink
Wonder - Matte Deep Plummy Brown
Whimsical - Matte Purple Mauve
Giggle - Matte Light Mauve
Magic - Metallic Rosy Copper
Flower Crown - Metallic White Champagne (The highlighter shade)
The eye shadow formula is really creamy and pigmented and I found them really long-lasting and I love how they have included some neutral transition shades along with the pinker shadows so that you can do complete eye looks with this palette. My favourite shades have to be Magic, Giggle, Whimsical and Flitter as they are just so pretty and I have been loving pink eye shadows lately.
The Tarte Love, Trust & Fairy Dust Eyeshadow Palette costs £34.00 and you can check Tarte out online here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
