Antipodes Blessing Anti-Pollution Light Face Serum Review

Wednesday 19 June 2019

I haven't tried anything from the New Zealand vegan skincare brand Antipodes for quite a while now and so I was thrilled to receive the Antipodes Blessing Anti-Pollution Light Face Serum to try out as I am really into my serums, as I think they make such a difference to the skin.
If you are new to the brand, let me introduce them a little. Antipodes is renowned for specialising in creating premium natural products for the skin which are both certified organic and vegan-friendly. The brand uses sustainably-sourced ingredients from New Zealand after very thorough scientific research and this particular serum contains Kiwi Seed Oil, Asian Ginger and White Jasmine.

Antipodes recommend using this in a morning onto cleansed and toned skin before applying your moisturiser. There was no mention of whether or not you could use it on a night-time, but I always use my serums on an evening as well as a morning, so I went with my own mind on this one. The reason Antipodes recommend using this in a morning is so that it can create a natural barrier against pollution particles as poor air quality stresses the skin and can affect its function, risking signs of premature ageing such as dark spots and uneven skin tone.
The Antipodes Blessing Anti-Pollution Light Face Serum comes in a 30ml glass bottle, which is around average for a serum or facial oil and has a glass dropper as an applicator so that you can control the amount of product you are using. The Serum has a light and pleasant scent to it and as you press it into the skin, it does feel slightly oily out of the bottle, but goes onto the skin very lightweight and there isn't any oily residue left over, which I was very pleased with as I hate having an oily face before applying makeup in the morning.

As mentioned, the Serum contains Kiwi Seed Oil to strengthen the skin, Asian Ginger which acts as an antioxidant and White Jasmine which is used for fragrance purposes. Other ingredients include Marshmallow Bloom to brighten the skin, Liquorice Root to target micro-pigmentation, Vinanza Grape to also act as an antioxidant and Avocado Oil to also strengthen the skin. This is one powerful skin cocktail which is going to give you brighter, healthier looking skin which also feels divine and is well-hydrated and nourished.

The Antipodes Blessing Anti-Pollution Light Face Serum costs £33.00 for 30ml and you can find it online at Antipodes here.
