Barry M: What's New Summer 2019

Sunday 14 July 2019

Barry M have been killing it with new releases this Summer, and so I thought I would do a round-up of some of their brand new products, to see what works and what doesn't.
They released three new serum mists, including the Barry M Cooling Cucumber Serum Mist, the Calming Rose Serum Mist, and the one I have here, the Barry M Hydrating Coconut Serum Mist. I love anything coconut-scented and I do get dry skin, so this was my serum mist of choice. You get 50ml of product for £5.99, which I think is pretty good value and due to the size, they are also perfect for travelling with. The Hydrating Coconut Serum Mist has been infused with acacia collagen, hyaluronic acid and vitamin B, so this is going to keep the skin moisturised and plumped up. It has a really good applicator on it, and the mist doesn't come out clumpy, but nice and fine, covering the face with just a couple of spritzes and of course, it smells of Summer due to that inclusion of coconut.
Next up is the Barry M Staycation Bronzer Palette (£5.99), which comes in a good sized compact and includes half matte bronzer and half shimmer bronzer. There is just one shade in this palette, and I would say that it would mostly suit light to medium skin-tones. I adore the little palm tree illustration on the front of the compact, which keeps in theme with one of their other releases, the Island Hopper Eyeshadow Palette. You can use either side of the compact if you are wanting a contour shade, or a shimmer finish, or swirl them both together to create a third shade. I also think that the shimmer works gorgeously as an eyeshadow, so you can definitely get quite a lot of use from this little compact.
I love trying out new brow products and so I couldn't wait to pick up the Barry M Dual Ended Brow Wand (£5.99), which is available in Light, Medium and Dark, of which I went for Medium. On one end you have a slanted, tear-drop shaped crayon and on the other end, you have a tinted brow gel applicator. Due to the shape of the crayon, you can either create thicker strokes, or tiny, hair-like strokes, and it has really good staying power. I don't have naturally thick eyebrows, and so some brow wands can be a little too big for me, but the applicator on this one for the tinted brow gel is perfect as it is just the right size. I would 100% recommend this product if you are looking for something new for your brows, and at just £5.99, it is a steal!
There have been two recent eyeshadow palette additions, and so I will start with the smaller one, the Barry M Island Hopper Eyeshadow Palette, which contains ten matte and metallic shades for just £6.99. The packaging is gorgeous, with deep tropical blues, and palm trees inside and outside the palette, with a mirror on the inside of the lid too.
There are no shade names, but you will find;
* Mate White
* Iridescent White/Lilac Shift
* Shimmer Orange
* Matte Cream
* Matte Turquoise
* Shimmer Coral
* Shimmer Icy Champagne
* Shimmer Turquoise
* Matte Warm Light Brown
* Matte Lilac
I do think this is a really lovely palette, with some everyday shades in there, but also the inclusion of summery colours too, and the pigment and blendability really impressed me. It is pretty lightweight too, so I think I may just have to take this on holiday with me.
When I saw the Barry M Tropical Twist Eyeshadow Palette online, I didn't feel as if I needed it, but when I saw it in person, I could really see how beautiful the shadows and pigments were, so of course I popped it in my basket. The Tropical Twist Eyeshadow Palette contains 18 good-sized pans featuring both matte and metallic baked eyeshadows. Both formulas work really well and I think for just £12.99, you really cannot go wrong.
Again, no shade names so I will try and describe them...
* Metallic taupe
* Matte cream
* Matte ballet pink
* Metallic bronze
* Matte fuchsia pink
* Matte golden yellow
 * Iridescent lilac
* Matte red
* Metallic peach
* Metallic icy white
* Matte mauve
* Metallic rich red
* Iridescent mint green with gold sparkle
* Matte brown
* Matte bright blue
* Iridescent pale blue
* Matte light coral
* Matte khaki green
You can really create such a variety of looks with this palette, and it pretty much caters to every occasion. You get your matte base colours in there, some toppers, some brights and much more, plus you can also use them wet or dry to add some more intensity.

You can find these beauties and more online at Barry M here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
