Huda Beauty Neon Obsessions Eyeshadow Palettes Review + Swatches

Friday 5 July 2019

I got SO excited when I saw the pre-release photos of the new Huda Beauty Neon Obsessions Eyeshadow Palettes as they are right up my street. The colours are incredible and as I couldn't decide on one, I decided to order all three! There is a Neon Orange, Neon Pink and Neon Green and I adore the neon plastic packaging too.
You get nine eyeshadow pans in each palette, some matte and some shimmers and glitters and each palette has a mirror on the inside of the lid. After swatching them, I think if I had to choose a favourite it would be the pink, followed by the orange and then green. The shades in each of the palettes are as follows, although there are no shade names;

Neon Orange Palette, top to bottom, left to right:
Canary yellow matte
Light orange glitter
Neon coral matte
Pink glitter
Pale neon orange matte
Neon purple matte
Neon medium orange matte
Neon light coral matte
Neon yellow glitter

Neon Pink Palette, top to bottom, left to right:
Coral pink matte
Light lilac glitter
Another Coral pink matte (To me, this looks far to similar to shade 1)
Neon pink matte
Medium purple glitter
Neon purple matte
Lilac matte
Lavender glitter with a blue iridescent shift
Bright pink glitter

Neon Green Palette, top to bottom, left to right:
Pale neon yellow matte
Gold yellow glitter
Neon green matte
Beige glitter
White glitter
Amethyst glitter
Bronze glitter
Light coral matte
Pink glitter with gold iridescent
I think out of all of the Neon palettes, Neon Green is probably the least neon as there are only really two neon shades in it, and I really don't think the shimmer shades in this palette match the neon theme. However, the Pink and Orange palettes are just absolutely stunning and if you want something more out there, then these are definitely it. The Neon Green palette is still lovely, of course, but to me it just looks a little like an outsider.
The colours all work beautifully, and are super pigmented and blend really well together, as with some palettes you can find that the shadows don't like layering with each other, but these do. With regards to the Neon Pink palette, the first and third shades are far too similar, and I am sure Huda could have come up with something different for that.
The Huda Beauty Neon Obsessions Eyeshadow Palettes cost £27.00 each, making each shadow £3.00 each which isn't bad for the quality, but the pans are slightly small. You can find them online at Cult Beauty here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
