Jeffree Star Blood Sugar Eyeshadow Palette Review

Thursday 18 July 2019

After trying and loving the Jeffree Star Blue Blood Eyeshadow Palette, I knew I needed the Jeffree Star Blood Sugar Eyeshadow Palette in my life. It was out of stock for ages on the Beauty Bay website, but as soon as I got a notification that it was back in stock, I ordered it straight away.
The Blood Sugar Palette comes in similar packaging to the Blue Blood Palette but not quite as nice. The flimsy cardboard covering doesn't do a whole lot, but the jewellery box-esque compact is so great, with its clasps and mirror on the inside of the lid. The Palette contains eighteen eyeshadows with different finishes and each pan is a really good size, so you are not going to hit pan for a good while.
The eighteen shades included are, left to right, top to bottom;
Glucose - Bright white matte
Sugarcane - Powder pink matte
Cake Mix - Soft beige matte
Ouch - Camel brown matte
Donor - Golden bronze metallic
Intravenous - Burgundy brown matte
Candy Floss - Light pink shimmer
Tongue Pop - Salmon pink matte
Sweetener - Peachy pink gold shimmer
Cavity - Neon pink matte
O Positive - Light grey matte
Root Canal - Neon purple matte
Prick - Neon red/orange matte
Cherry Soda - Blue-toned red matte
Fresh Meat - Berry red matte
Blood Sugar - Warm red shimmer
Extraction - Deep berry purple matte
Coma - Dark purple matte

There is obviously a red theme here due to the name of the palette, but I love that Jeffree has included nudes, a few pops of other colours within this palette to make it more user friendly. Due to the collection of shades and finishes, the amount of looks you can create are endless and you are going to be able to use this palette all year round.
As with all Jeffree Star products which I have used, the quality and pigment of the eyeshadows are second to none. I often call these kinds of shadows one-swatches as you only need to swatch them once to get a full coverage and therefore they are also going to last you longer as you don't need to use as much product.
The Jeffree Star Blood Sugar Eyeshadow Palette costs £48.00 and you can find it online at Beauty Bay here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
