Tarte Foundcealer Multi-Tasking Foundation Review

Friday 12 July 2019

Whilst getting excited about the QVC Easy Pay Tarte event, one of the items I ordered was the Tarte Foundcealer Multi-Tasking Foundation and Sponge Duo. The Tarte Foundcealer was released earlier this year and is a makeup and skincare hybrid that gives a total complexion solution for achieving a radiant finish and custom coverage.
Available in 30 shades, the Foundcealer Foundation is formulated with Babasu Palm Seed Oil and Hyaluronic Acid to nourish the skin and keep it healthy. The Foundcealer comes in a gorgeous double-barrelled airless pump bottle with a lilac cap which features a tropical palm leaf design. The cap twists to reveal a convenient pump dispenser making it a great travel companion.

Due to the Babasu Palm Oil, Hyaluronic Acid and added Vitamin E, the Foundcealer has a creamy texture which makes application even and smooth but I would say coverage is more medium rather than full, which I found quite odd considering the name suggests that the formula doubles as a concealer. However, the finish was pretty and dewy and due to such nourishing ingredients, I would definitely recommend this for a drier skin type.
QVC UK only had a small percentage of the shades available, and so I ended up going for the shade 22N Light Neutral, which is for light skin tones with neutral under tones, and normally I would go for a shade suitable for red undertones due to redness I suffer from on my cheeks. That being said, the colour worked really well for me, and it wasn't too light either but still matched the rest of my skin, so I was really impressed with the shade.

I wouldn't normally bother buying a new brush or sponge that is released with a new foundation, but as this came as a set, it was nice to try it out. The Tarte Foundcealer Multi-Tasking Sponge is a really soft, slightly velvety and very squishy sponge which I was really pleased with. I am a Beauty Blender lover and a lot of other brands' sponges often seem to be quite hard, but this was lovely and bouncy, so if you are in the market for a new makeup sponge, then this would definitely be worth a shot.
The Tarte Foundcealer costs £33.00 online at Tarte Cosmetics, and the Tarte Foundcealer Multi-Tasking Sponge costs £14.00 online at Tarte Cosmetics, but for the two I paid £36.00 online at QVCUK here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
