Trying Out... HealGel Skincare Review

Wednesday 24 July 2019

I love trying out new brands to the market as well as new brands to myself and Kathryn's Loves. One brand which isn't new to the market but is new to myself is HealGel. The company produces scientifically developed, effective skincare for all skin types. HealGel was created by a team of leading British plastic and cosmetic surgeons with the help of a renowned award-winning dermatological biochemist. They wanted to create an effective skincare range that was results driven and helped target everyday skin problems. They don't have a huge collection of products, instead focusing on four key products, HealGel Intensive, HealGel Face, HealGel Eye and HealGel Body.
HealGel Face (£48.00 for 50ml) is a step-changing rescue formula to counter the visible signs of ageing, harnessing the power of multi-active ingredients to take transformative skin therapy to the next level. It contains a triple phase hyaluronic acid complex to delivery an instant firming and plumping effect. This daily anti-ageing rescue formula also contains arnica and madecassoside suspended in liposomes with powerful peptides to give a soothing and collagen boosting process. Ingredients also include omega and seed oils which are great for replenishing dehydrated skin and restoring elasticity. HealGel Face comes in quite a scientific looking box and tube, with everything you need to know without the bumpf. Clean, simple, straightforward packaging. The cream comes in a 50ml bottle which has a pump applicator so you don't need to stick your fingers in a jar, and has a creamy, gel-like texture to it. It is slightly fragranced, and smells quite therapeutic, like something you would find in a spa. Even though there is a fragrance there, it is suitable for all skin tones. As soon as you apply it onto the skin it gives a slight cooling sensation, which is especially great at this time of year. I found that the formula melted into my skin almost instantaneously and it did feel a little plumper in comparison to using my regular moisturiser, along with feeling super hydrated and replenished. You only need a small amount per application and it can be used both in the morning and on an evening.
Moving on to the eyes, we have the HealGel Eye (£35.00 for 15ml). This is an advanced corrective eye formula to help diminish the appearance of dark circles, puffiness and fine lines associated with ageing, so basically an all-in-one treatment. It is a lightweight gel formula which cools the skin as soon as you apply it to even out skin tone and improve elasticity through intense hydration. This comes in very similar packaging to HealGel Face, this time in a smaller bottle, however my only negative was that because it is a pump applicator again, it did release far too much product for the eye area at once, so I did have to go really slowly with pressing down on it so that I didn't waste any product. HealGel Eye has been formulated to blur the fine lines around the eye area and give an immediate lift, containing calming arnica to reduce puffiness, and collagen boosting actives to firm the skin. The dual-action hyaluronic complex acts instantly to lock in moisture and firm eye contours. HealGel Eye also contains light diffusers which are in quite a lot of makeup products, which brighten the eye area to give a more refreshed, ready-for-the-day appearance. Just like HealGel Face, this product is suitable for all skin types and can be used on a morning and an evening. To apply, I take a tiny amount on my ring finger, as this is the finger that gives the least pressure on the delicate eye area and then gently massage around the eye.
You can find HealGel online here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
