If you come here often, you will know I love You Tuber Tati Westbrook and listening to her thoughts on makeup products as she is always super honest with her product reviews. One product which pops up quite a lot in her videos is the Dermacol Make-Up Cover, so you can bet your bottom dollar I ordered it.
Dermacol was launched in Prague in the 1960s and their first and most iconic product is the Make-Up Cover, a hyper-allergenic foundation which provides extreme coverage with a natural-looking finish. Dermacol Make-Up Cover contains 50% pigment, creates a satin matte appearance and can cover up acne, bruising, tattoos and skin imperfections. This product is often used by professional makeup artists and can be used on the face or body.
There are 13 shades available, ranging from fair to deep, and I opted for 208, which is for fair skin as that is what I have, although it isn't the lightest shade, there is a 207 which is lighter. Tati tends to use this as a concealer when she has really bad dark under eye circles, and as this is something I suffer from, it was the deciding factor in buying it. The Dermacol Make-Up Cover comes in a cool textured gold tube which contains 30g of product.
The formula contains SPF30 which I love about it, and it is waterproof, making it great for holidays. As you may expect, it is quite a thick formula and I like to apply it using my Beauty Blender sponge as I find it applies not as thick. I do like to use a primer with this also as it can cling to my pores without one, but if you need coverage for whatever reason, this product has your back for sure. I have sensitive skin and I was a little wary as it does have a slight floral fragrance to it, but this did not irritate my skin whatsoever or make me break out.
If I was to wear this everyday as a foundation, then I would probably add a little moisturiser to dilute the pigmentation a little. The Dermacol Make-Up Cover costs £14.90 and you can find it online here.
All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
