Every so often, Tarte Cosmetics have a special offer on, where you can pick a makeup bag and six full sized products for just £56.00 including delivery. Considering individual prices, this is crazy value for money, and I always like to take advantage of the offer, whether it is to stock up on products I already love, or try new ones out. Here is what I chose for the Tarte Custom Beauty Kit Summer 2019.
Starting with the bag, I opted for a bright pink, roomy bag which comes with a cute pom pom and a neon multi-coloured tassel on it. I have had this bag before, but I didn't really fancy any of the others and as it is such a great size, you can fit plenty in it.
The only product I already own is the Tarte Shape Tape Hydrating Foundation, which retails for £33.00. I went for the shade Fair Beige as my skin is a little tanner at the moment compared to winter time when I first bought the foundation. This foundation has such great coverage and my skin gets dry all year round, so this is a really good choice for me and I love that I can now wear it in Summer too due to it being a warmer shade.
The first new-to-me product I chose is the Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea Filtered Light Setting Powder, which retails for £33.00 also. This is a talc-free makeup setting and baking powder that contains tiny, light-reflecting particles that blurs out pores, and heaven knows I need that. My pores, even though they are not huge, are just one of the main things I get self-conscious about. This is ever so slightly tinted, but will work well on the majority of skin tones.
I then opted for the Tarte Ready, Set, Radiant Skin Mist, which has an RRP of £28.00. I haven't really tried many skincare products from Tarte and with my love of setting sprays, I just had to include this in my bundle. You can use it as a hydrating skin mist or as a makeup setting spray, which it works really well at, but I really was not keen on the scent of this at all. It kind of smells like garden mint, which I am sure some people will love but it is really not for me.
Next up, I ordered the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara in this limited edition packaging, purely for the pink glitter packaging. I have no shame and no regrets. This mascara retails for £21.00 and I have used it before, but I wasn't shook by the result, but I know so many people rave about this mascara and so I wanted to give it another whirl, and failing that I will just have it looking pretty on my vanity table.
For the eyes I picked out the Tarte Glam On The Go Eyeshadow Palette (£25.00). This oh-so-cute palette features flamingos dancing on the front of it, and comes with three matte eyeshadows and three metallic eyeshadows. The shades include a cream, some browns, and some bronze and gold metallics and I think this would make a lovely little palette to take travelling or on holiday as it is so neat and petite.
Last but not least, I went for the Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea Color Splash Lipstick in the shade Skinny Dip. The Color Splash Lipsticks are regularly £20.00, which I do think is quite pricey for a lipstick. However, the packaging is gorgeous, and reminds me of the sea and the shade Skinny Dip is a great light nude for everyday wear.
If I had bought these items separately, I would have had to have paid £150.00 plus the beauty bag, and so I saved £94.00 which is such a good deal. If you would like to sign up to the Tarte mailing list to be made aware of future deals like this, head to their website here.
All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
