I am much more a Summer girl than a Winter girl and so Summer makeup collections just give me all the thrills and excitement. Whilst browsing my local Superdrug, I noticed that MUA had a new Summer collection out, and whilst my store didn't carry all of the products I managed to pick up a few bits.
The MUA x Glow collection consists of a Shimmer Spray, a Lipstick, a Bronze Compact, three Lipglosses, three Roll On Eye Shimmers, two Highlight Kits and three Liquid Highlighters and not a single product is over £5.00, which is such great value, and allows you to pick up multiple products. Who doesn't want glowy tanned skin in Summer?
The first item I chose was the MUA x Glow Shimmer Spray (£5.00) which comes in a large 150ml bottle with a spray applicator. This is a lightweight, micro mist shimmer spray that gives such a pretty golden glow to the skin, and due to the size of it, I also like to use this on my legs and arms. The Spray is infused with the scent of coconuts, so that is definitely a winner for me and it is great for cooling down too.
Next up is the MUA x Glow Satin Lipstick, which costs just £1.00!! There is only one shade available, Hot Coral, but what a gorgeous shade it is! This looks great with a tan and comes off a little more red than coral on the lips. The Lipstick has a satin finish, and so it isn't drying on the lips and is super pigmented so one swipe gets you full coverage.
Another lip product I picked up is the MUA x Glow Honeyed Lip Gloss (£4.00) which is also available in a pink hued plumping formula and a shimmery finish. I opted for this gorgeous nude honeyed shade as it goes with any outfit and any makeup look due to the pretty sightly shimmery colour. The Lip Gloss has a minty taste to it, and does slightly buzz on the lips for a few moments, to plump them up for a perfect pout.
Finally, I chose the MUA x Glow Highlight Palette (£5.00), which comes in two colourways, Golden Delight and Golden Kisses. Golden Delight is for lighter skin tones and if both had been available in my store I would have gone for that one. However, I didn't know there were two shade options at the time so I picked up Golden Kisses. This shade range is fine for my skin at the moment as it is Summer but may be slightly dark for my Winter skin. The powders are very pigmented and feel silky soft which apply to the skin beautifully.
All the Loves,
