Colourpop MAR Eyeshadow Palette Review + Swatches

Thursday 10 October 2019

I placed a Colourpop order back at the end of August and one of the items I had been lusting after for ages was the Colourpop MAR Eyeshadow Palette so I added it to my order as Colourpop products are so affordable you can get quite a lot for your buck.
I have had countless Colourpop eyeshadow palettes in the past, and they never seem to let me down, and when I saw the stunning vacay-vibes of the MAR Palette, I knew I had to have it. Even though we are now in Autumn, my holiday this year is in December, so I will still want some of those gorgeous bronze tones for then.
The Colourpop MAR Palette contains nine shadows, and a mirror on the inside of the lid. The compact itself is quite plain but cute and even though it is plastic, it doesn't feel flimsy. There is a mixture of matte and shimmer shades included and as I love blues, teals, and bronzes this is definitely a winner for me.
The shades included are;
El Rey - Metallic soft peach with gold pearl
Wild One - Metallic rich orange copper
Detour - Matte cobalt
Boozy - Metallic orange with gold pearl
Gridlock - Bright teal with silver and teal glitter
Sorbet - Matte peachy soft brown
Hwy - Satin sea foam green with a gold sheen
Top Down - Matte dark chocolate
My Way - Metallic true vibrant bronze
I had a slight amount of kick back with a couple of the shades in this palette, but I think you get that with the majority of shimmer formulas in eyeshadow palettes and to me it wasn't a problem. As with all Colourpop eyeshadows I have tried, the formula is gorgeously soft and buttery and applies to the lids like a dream. I think there could have been one other transition shade included within this palette so that you got a full look, but I think it would be amazing to wet an eyeliner brush and use Gridlock or My Way as metallic eyeliners!

The Colourpop MAR Eyeshadow Palette costs $12.00/£9.63 and is available online at Colourpop here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
