Essence Crystal Power Collection Review + Swatches

Sunday 13 October 2019

I get so excited about new Essence releases, as they are always so fabulous, and as I have mentioned before, the prices and quality are second to none. Essence's most recent collection is the Essence Crystal Power range, which comprises of multiple products, all based around the recent crystal trend.
First up, is the Essence Crystal Power Blush & Highlighter Palette (£5.99) which has a pretty geometric design on the front, a mirror on the inside of the lid and four blushers and highlighters. The first highlighter is the shade Glowing Energy, a gorgeous champagne gold shimmer, with the second being Shine Bright, a white glitter shimmery highlighter, which reminds me of the diamond highlighter by Fenty Beauty, although at a much smaller fraction of the price. The two blush shades are also shimmery, and you get Superpower, a warm mauve shade and Inner Happiness, a rose pink shade. I was a little unsure about how Superpower would look on my light skin, as it does seem quite dark in the pan, but if I go in lightly with it, it warms the apples of my cheeks up nicely. The formula is super buttery and creamy, even though it is a powder, and the pigment is incredible, and therefore, I only need a small amount to give me a big wow factor.
Following on from that, we have the Essence Crystal Power Eyeshadow Palette (£5.99), which contains nine stunning shades which will be perfect colours for all year round. Although this palette doesn't contain a neutral transition shade, this really is a gorgeous palette. The shades included are;
Never Give Up - Bronze Shimmer
Sparkle All Day - Light Gold Shimmer
Good Vibes Only - Khaki Green Shimmer
Reach For The Stars - Mermaid Blue Shimmer
Make It Happen - Warm Terracotta Matte
Love Yourself - Rose Gold Shimmer
Chase Your Dreams - Lilac Shimmer
I've Got The Power - Purple Shimmer
Believe In Miracles - Snow White Shimmer
I love the collection of colours they have chosen, and some of the shades easily rival some of my Bobbi Brown Shimmer Shadows, as the pigment is once again, incredible and the shimmer payoff is wonderful. The shadows individually work out at just 65p each, which I doubt you can find anywhere else. I can't even choose a favourite shade as I will definitely wear them all.
For the lips, we have the Essence Crystal Power Lipstick (£2.99), which is available in just the one shade. This is due to it being a special colour-changing lipstick, and therefore works with your pH levels to create a colour that will suit your own skintone. The packaging is clear and rose gold, and the lipstick itself looks like a light pink see-through balm that contains flecks of gold glitter. It doesn't show up that well on camera, but it really is very pretty. The formula of the Lipstick contains Vitamin E, and so not only will your lips look amazing, they will also feel nourished and protected, especially at this colder time of year.
Finally, we have the Essence Crystal Power Nail Polish and at the time of writing this, I couldn't find it online, but I am sure that it will be released soon. This is shade 02 Be Strong, which says to me that there will be other shades available. Essence nail polishes are normally around £1.60-£2.00 each, which again is excellent value for money, and they are some of the best around, with such a wide range of shades and textures. The Essence Crystal Power Nail Polish in 02 Be Strong is a super glittery pink-hued champagne shade, which will look amazing for all the festive events coming up.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
