Revolution Pro Highlighting Potion Review + Swatches

Tuesday 12 November 2019

With party season very almost upon us - eek! - Revolution Pro have got us covered. They have recently released their Revolution Pro Highlighting Potions, which are going to keep that skin glowing all day and all night long, even if you have a horrid hangover from the work Christmas party!
There are three shades available in the Revolution Pro Highlighting Potion, Gold Elixir, Molten Amber and Rose Quartz. I personally don't think these are skintone specific, as I am quite fair to light skinned, and all three look beautiful on me. Gold Elixir is a soft champagne shimmering liquid highlighting with tiny pastel hued micro glitter, Molten Amber is a rose gold liquid highlighter with gold micro glitter, and Rose Quartz is a soft ballet pink liquid highlighter, with pastel hued micro glitter.
The Revolution Pro Highlighting Potions come gorgeously boxed, and each one is presented in a frosted glass bottle, with a glass dropper to let you control the amount of product you are using and 17ml of product, which is a lot for a liquid highlighter. It is always quite hard to show shimmering and glittery products on camera, but believe me when I say just how dainty, yet high-shimmer these really are.
Liquid highlighters can be used as a base on the skin, mixed in with a foundation, on the cheek bones and other high parts of the face, on the decollete, and even on the arms and legs for a full-body glow. The formula isn't sticky or overly runny, so it is easy to control and apply, and if you were going for a bold lip, you could also apply the Highlighting Potions onto the eyelids for a subtle shimmer.
Each of the Revolution Pro Liquid Highlighters have a soft baby talc kind of scent to them - I was going to say a baby scent, but thought that would sound bizarre. The formula contains Jojoba Oil, and so as well as making your skin glowy and fabulous, these Highlighting Potions also keep the skin nourished and soft throughout the day (or night!).
(I went overboard with the amount of product here, just so you can get a better idea)

The Revolution Pro Highlighting Potions cost £10.00 each and you can find them in-store at Superdrug, or online at Revolution here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
