Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Haircare Routine

Wednesday 20 November 2019

I don't know about you, but my hair hates cold weather just as much as I do. It gets super dry, especially the ends, and it makes me feel like I don't want to make an effort styling it. However, American haircare brand Shea Moisture have the answer - the Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil collection.
The Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Shampoo (£12.99 for 384ml) and its associated products have been created for dry, damaged hair, to hydrate and replenish it. This is a sulphate-free shampoo which cleanses the hair whilst infusing it with intense moisture and shine-enhancing nutrients to help it look its very best. Key ingredients include certified organic Shea Butter, Honey, Mafura and Baobab, which blend together into a rich formulation of restorative oils to soften and revitalise the hair. The formula smells incredible, and I find it to be a very soothing fragrance. It is a little more up there in price, but you get huge bottles of the products, and so these are going to last you a lot of hair washes.
Because my hair gets so dry, even year-round, I always ensure that I use a conditioner and so to match the shampoo, there is the Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Conditioner (£12.99 for 384ml). This is a rinse-out conditioner that instantly softens the hair, whilst also detangling it, which is key for me in a conditioner as my hair gets super tangled up in-between hair cuts. It has all of the same nourishing ingredients as the Shampoo and works really well at conditioning dry, brittle hair, to restore manageability. If you suffer from dry, brittle hair then this is definitely the hair care duo to go for to get those locks super soft and shiny in time for all of those Christmas parties.
I always enjoy a little pamper session, usually on a weekend, and a hair mask is a must for me. The Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Hair Masque (£12.99 for 354ml) is an extra treat for the hair. It is an intense conditioning deep treatment and contains the original ingredients as well as antioxidant-rich African Rock Fig which locks moisture into the hair and smooths and fortifies the follicles for stronger, healthier, frizz-free hair. The Masque can be used in two ways, you can either apply generously all over the hair, from root to tips and leave in for at least five minutes, or for extra conditioning, you can apply and cover the hair with as plastic cap, applying moderate heat for up to 30 minutes as heat adds to the mask's hydration. It has a lovely, thick texture and feels ever so luxurious and I like applying it the first way, and laying in a bubble bath and leaving it on for as long as I am in there for.
The Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil collection is available in-store and online at Boots here.

All the Loves,
