When it comes to Revlon, I never think of eyeshadow - I think of mascara, foundation, lip products and lots of other amazing products, but never eyeshadow. Until now - Revlon have recently wowed us all with a brand new collection of compact eyeshadow palettes - the Revlon So Fierce Prismatic Eyeshadow Palettes.
There are multiple colour stories to choose from, but I have only seen a couple available here in the UK - on Look Fantastic and Next, and I actually ended up getting the palettes I wanted from Amazon. Each one holds four shadows, and as these are a Prismatic formula, I don't believe any have a single matte shadow, which doesn't bother me, but if you are a matte lover, then you probably want to pass on these.
The two palettes I chose are Slight Flex and The Big Bang. Slight Flex features a light rose gold shimmer, a beautiful forest green shimmer, a warmer rose gold shimmer and a multi-toned mauve with a light green shift to it. The Big Bang contains a brown shimmer, a warm orange, a bright pop of pink and a light gold shimmer.
I saw a lot of negative reviews on these, saying that they didn't give a lot of colour pay off, but I disagree with that. These are Prismatic shadows, they aren't mattes or metallics, they are designed to add a wonderful veil of tinted shimmer to the eyes and they do that perfectly. The formula is creamy and soft and you can get away with a one-swipe situation - obviously if you want to deepen the colour, you can build it up without hardly any effort at all. Please note, shimmer shadows are impossible to show up correctly on camera, so the swatches do not show up as well as in real life.
On Amazon, at the time of writing this, the palettes range from £9.51 to £9.99, which I find a fair price for these palettes - they are good-sized pans in comparison to what Revlon have brought out previously and you can really get a lot of use out of them.
You can find the Revlon So Fierce Prismatic Eyeshadow Palettes online at Amazon here.
