The Ordinary Concealer Review

Monday 22 February 2021

When skincare and beauty brand The Ordinary released their foundation a couple of years ago, people went crazy for it! I personally haven't tried it as I do like to get matched for a foundation and hadn't had the opportunity. However when I saw The Ordinary Concealer had been released, I knew I had to give it a whirl!

The Ordinary Concealer costs just £4.90 for 8ml of product which reflects the excellent prices of the brand as a whole. There are a whopping 36 shades to choose from, which for a concealer and for this price point I find very admirable. The Concealer comes in a little black tube with a small applicator nib, so you can control a small amount of product per use.

I opted for the shade 1.0P which is for Very Fair skin with pink undertones, and I don't have Very Fair skin, but I do have quite fair skin at the moment and so I opted for this one as I do need something with pink undertones so this seemed the best option. As it is a full coverage concealer, I did wonder whether it would be quite thick and heavy, but it is in fact the opposite. The formula is lightweight and melts into the skin really well. It definitely has good coverage, but the one thing I found on me personally, was that it did settle into lines a little at first, but once I continued to blend that didn't seem to be as much of an issue.

Therefore, I would suggest that if you have younger skin, this would be amazing for you, but if you have more mature skin, I would maybe skip over this if using it for under the eyes. However, if you are using it for blemishes and redness on the skin, I would highly recommend giving it a whirl, especially for the price!

You can find The Ordinary Concealer online at Cult Beauty here.
