Alteya Organics Skincare was launched in 1999, but growing and caring for roses has been a family tradition for over a century. They grow and harvest roses and lavender and distil premium organic rose and lavender essential oils and flower waters. The company is family owned and their commitment to quality and sustainability combined with being one of the pioneers in the production of organic skin and body care, make them a brand that cares. I was very kindly sent some products from their Bio Damascena collection and a Bulgarian Rosa Damascena Flower Water.

The Alteya Organics Bio Damascena Rose Otto Face Wash* (£17.00 for 250ml) is a certified organic, award-winning, mild and gentle face wash that effectively removes everyday impurities, oil and makeup, while being kind to the skin. Rich in nutrients and fatty acids, it leaves the skin feeling healthy, fresh, nourished and super soft. The Organic Bulgarian Rose Oil helps to improve the complexion, rejuvenate and balance the skin and the organic blend of essential oils helps tone and firm the skin and promote moisture retention. The Face Wash comes with a push-down pump applicator, so it is quick and easy to use and is extra gentle, so it is suitable for all skin types including sensitive. I love how this makes my skin feel, so soft and squeaky clean, without stripping the skin of natural oils, and removing my makeup easily. I like to use it both morning and night, and as with all cleansers, I double cleanse with it, as the first cleanse is always to remove the makeup and impurities and the second is to cleanse the skin. It is a very refreshing and nourishing formula and so if you have slightly sensitive skin like myself, you will find this heavenly to use.

Packaged in a glass bottle with a spritzer applicator, the Alteya Organics Bio Damascena Rose Otto Facial Toner* (£22.00 for 200ml) is certified organic and helps to balance and revitalise the skin, as well as boosting the effectiveness of your skincare routine. The deeply softening rose otto and rose water based formula helps to purify and detoxify the skin, keeping it fresh and supple. Each of the products do have a light rose fragrance to them, but it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin in any way, shape or form, but I know some people prefer fragrance free skincare, so I felt it important to point that out. As with a cleanser, I use the Facial Toner twice a day, both morning and night, by soaking a cotton pad and smoothing gently over the entire face and neck. However, as it has a mist spritzer, I quite like to use this during the day to freshen up the skin and provide some hydration.

You all know how much I love a multi-use product, and the Alteya Organics Rose Damascena Organic Bulgarian Rose Water* (£9.85 for 100ml) is just that! Used as skincare, it has cleansing, energising and toning properties for all skin types and can be used to soften and hydrate the skin, by applying gently with a cotton pad over the face and neck after cleansing and toning. It can be used after bathing or showering to help sunburn, to set makeup, and after shaving or waxing. The Rose Water is also excellent for massaging into roots of washed hair or as an invigorating hair rinse to balance and strengthen the hair, making it soft and shiny. Another use is as an addition to your bath, or spraying on your bed sheets, clothing or in the air as a stress reliever. Furthermore, this can be used as a flavour enhancer for foods and beverages, as a household cleaner and even to help pets with skin irritations! Wowsers, this is such a do-it-all product and such a staple to have around the home.

For moisturiser, I have been really enjoying the Alteya Organics Bio Damascena Rose Otto Day Moisturiser* (£23.00 for 50ml). If you don't have particularly dry skin, then you can of course use this as your evening moisturiser too, but if not, then you would use this as a morning moisturiser and then use the night version on an evening. Packaged in a beautiful glass bottle with a push down applicator, this Moisturiser protects the skin against daily environmental stress, toning and strengthening the skin as well as regulating moisture balance. The formula is certified organic and the Bulgarian Rose Oil absorbs instantly into the skin for softer, younger, healthier skin. You will find it very lightweight, almost a light cream/oil hybrid and so it sinks into the skin effortlessly and instantly and is very hydrating and balancing. The Day Moisturiser is suitable for all skin types, and again it does have a light rose scent to it.

The final step of the routine is the Alteya Organics Bio Damascena Rose Otto Regenerating Concentrate* (£55.00 for 30ml). This high-performance regenerating serum deploys its youth-enhancing effectiveness, with visible results in less than 15 minutes after the first use! It helps transform texture, reduce wrinkles, and improves the skin's luminosity, reaching its optimum effectiveness after 30 days of use. The Concentrate comes in a glass bottle with a glass pipette applicator so that you can control the amount of product you are dispensing, and you then apply a few drops onto the face and gently massage into the skin to optimise absorption, improve circulation and protect the skin. The formula itself is a little like a milky oil, and a little goes a long way, so this is going to last you a good amount of time. With its advanced non-toxic formula that uses potent bio-active ingredients to improve texture and natural glow, you are given brighter, softer, younger-looking skin.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
