Welcome to my Father's Day Gift Guide for 2021. This year, we are actually able to go out and spend the day doing something fun with our Dads, which is a gift in itself, but I have also carefully curated some of the best gifts for the father figure in your life. Whether that be your biological Dad, an adopted Dad, a Grandad, Step-Dad, or whoever you look up to.

The stigma behind men opening up and talking has seen such an improvement in the past few years. My Dad is very old-fashioned and keeps things to himself, and so I think the Meee In A Family Minute 60 Ways To Improve Your Family Life In 60 Seconds by Sid Madge* (£8.00) is such a brilliant read. It is full of useful tips and strategies to appreciate, engage with, enjoy, connect and reconnect with your family. This book helps to give ourselves or a loved one a little nudge to reframe our thinking so we can see a different perspective. Meee In A Family Minute is an easy to navigate read that has fun and thought-provoking pages and each 'minute' features a quote, and I do love a quote! It is a very interactive book, which I prefer, as you are able to take things on board and think about things better and there are also other titles, including 60 Ways To Improve Your Life In 60 Seconds and 60 Ways To Improve Your Working Life In 60 Seconds, so Sid Madge has certainly got us all covered!

My Dad is one of those soap and water kinda guys when it comes to his 'skincare routine', but so many brands and products are unisex or even created with men in mind, so I wanted to showcase some of the best male and unisex skincare products available. First we have the Magnitone Wipe Out 100% Bamboo Microfibre Cleansing Cloth* (£20.00 for 2) in grey. I have these in pink and they are incredible at removing dirt and debris from the skin using just warm water, so even if your Pappa has a low-key skincare regime, you know he is going to be able to get a super clean face with these. I don't use cotton wool pads anymore, and I always use reusable rounds or cloths, and have done for a good few years now as it is so much better for the environment and these are now made from 100% Bamboo, meaning they are all-natural, eco-friendly and plastic-free!

For cleanser, I have chosen the SOS Cleanse Daily Cleanser* (£15.00 for 50ml) as this is a gentle lightweight soothing cleanser that is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive, and with all that shaving men have to do, I think sometimes a sensitive cleanser is the way forward for them. It has clean, straightforward packaging and a quick and easy to use pump applicator, which dispenses the gel formula which is then massaged onto dry skin, both morning and night and rinsed with water to remove. The formula doesn't include alcohol, acids or aggressive surface active agents but it is infused with Blue Daisy Extract which helps the pH balance of the skin whilst de-sensitising and boosting its natural moisture barrier for squeaky clean, smooth skin.

The Wishful Yo Detox Face & Body Enzyme Scrub* (£34.00 for 100ml) was originally created for Huda's husband Chris, as she wanted to develop a version of the Yo Glow for him. Yo Detox is a unique 3-in-1 chemical and physical scrub that is packed with the same signature ingredients as Yo Glow (Pineapple and Papaya Enzymes as well as AHA and BHAs) as well as purifying Charcoal for a gentle yet intensive deep skin detox. It is suitable for all skin types and especially helpful for clogged pores, excess oil and breakouts, which can often be caused by ingrown hair from beards. The formula is non-abrasive and works on sensitive skin types too, without any irritation, to remove dead skin cells on both the face and body, leaving the skin feeling super smooth and revitalised.

BEYL is a luxury skincare brand specifically made for men and they create dynamic formulations to support active living, carefully blending strategic actives that maintain a balanced ski-microbiome, keeping the immune system in check while soothing and rejuvenating the skin from within. The BEYL Clima-Adaptive Anti-Pollution Moisturiser* (£39.00 for 50ml) comes in beautiful charcoal grey and rose gold packaging with a twist-up lid. This is a daily anti-ageing moisturiser that is formulated with Cacao Seed Extract, Micro-Algae and Vitamin C to help protect against environmental and blue light pollution whilst reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The cream smartly adapts to local climate and daily seasonal change providing total skin control and a comfortable soft feeling. Suitable for normal, oily, combination and dry skin types, this Moisturiser deeply hydrates the skin to leave it feeling super smooth, soft and healthy.

I think secretly men love a bit of pampering as much as us gals, especially face masks, so I wanted to include the SkinSense Anti-Ageing Overnight Leave On Mask* (£34.00 for 100ml). This luxurious leave-on mask transforms dull and lacklustre skin into a clearer and brighter complexion, all whilst you are sleeping. It is perfect for restoring a youthful plumpness and diminishing signs of premature ageing and is super easy to use and helps to improve skin elasticity, firmness and hyperpigmentation. Key ingredients include Hyaluronic Acid to attract moisture into the skin, Hydolysed Proteins, Lactic Acid and Copper Peptides. You only need to use it once or twice a week to see amazing results, by applying a thin layer onto cleansed skin, leave for ten minutes and rinse, or leave on overnight for a deeper treatment.

Next up I wanted to include the Evolve Organic Beauty Miracle Facial Oil* (£30.00 for 30ml), which is a nourishing yet let facial oil that contains natural retinol from Organic Rosehip and antioxidants from Organic Argan Oil to regenerate and revitalise mature and dry skin. Organic Blackseed Oil nourishes and reduces any signs or irritation, which is especially beneficial to those with facial hair such as beards, where you may get ingrown hairs. The Miracle Facial Oil is suitable for all skin types, and a little goes a long way, as you only need to apply 2-3 drops for the whole face. Rosehip Oil helps to fight the signs of ageing whilst keeping the skin nourished and hydrated as well as being rich in bio-retinol which helps to promote cellular renewal and improve the appearance of scars. This really is a do-it-all facial oil and is 100% natural and 99.5% organic, which is definitely pretty cool!

Finally, for the eyes, it has to be the Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Creme* (£33.00 for 15ml). This iconic eye cream instantly brightens the under eye area as well as targeting fine lines and wrinkles and reducing the look of dark circles, which is especially useful for first-time parents! The formula contains powerful Vitamin C and Collagen to firm and deeply hydrate the skin and is not at all heavy on the skin, which is often important in an eye cream due to delicate nature of the eye area. As well as having long-lasting skincare benefits, the Banana Bright Eye Cream contains special pigments and colour-corrects the eye area, which helps massively with dark circles and crow's feet. A little goes a long way, and I would always recommend using your ring finger to apply an eye cream as this is the one that applies the least amount of pressure to that delicate area.

My Dad is such a chocolate monster so I just had to include something chocolatey! ChocFACE* allow you to customise your very own chocolates! You simply choose your layout and then upload your favourite photographs, which you can then edit and place exactly how you want them. The service costs £14.95 which gives you one large chocolate and five medium sized chocolates and they come in a gift box, complete with a customisable note on top. The chocolates are made from Belgian milk chocolate with a layer of white chocolate on top, which is what they images are printed on to. Some of the images I chose were photographs of photographs, which I knew wouldn't come out the clearest, but I wanted to include a picture of my Mum, as she passed away when I was 17, yet I still wanted her to be on these chocolates. I also included a photo of me when I was around 2 or 3, a photo of my Dad and I when we were in the Bahamas and at football and then a picture of each of the cats. This is such a lovely, easily customisable gift!

The Ocean Refresh Men's Flip Flops* (£24.99) are crafted from plastic waste which has been removed from our oceans and coastlines - how freakin' cool is that?! Made from Organic and Natural materials, these flip flops are 100% vegan and 100% recyclable. They feature a comfortable wide-fit strap and are ergonomically engineered with Oceatex, which is a noodle microstructure base for extra comfort. Ocean Refresh Flip Flops are non-slip and water-resistant and contain up to 24 recycled plastic bottles in every single pair! They are available in a multitude of colours and the pattern on the sole is full of little turtles, which I personally find super cute! The soles are also anti-abrasive, which means they do not mark any type of surface and the flip flops are anti-bacterial too, which means they eliminate funghi and bacterial odours. So not only are you helping to recycle plastic that has been clogging up our waters, but you also get to look cool and feel comfortable too!

My Dad is genuinely disappointed if he doesn't receive socks for occasions like Christmas and birthdays etc. He loves his socks, and has many fabulous pairs! SockShop offer a huge variety of socks amongst other things, in various styles, colours, patterns and more, as well as offering some of the best sock brands around. For some luxe socks, I chose the Hugo Boss Mens 3 Pair Boxed Plain and Argyle Cotton Socks* (£24.99). These come beautifully presented in a gift box and contain three contemporary looks, including an argyle pair and two plain pairs with the Hugo Boss logo on the sides, in a range of blues and grey. These socks are woven in a combed cotton-rich blend and resistant yarns are used along with extra reinforcement given to the heels to make them durable and long-lasting, whilst also being breathable. For something more casual, yet still boojie, I am loving the Ralph Lauren Cotton Sports Trainer Socks* (6 Pairs for £34.99). You can choose these in plain white, plain black or white with different coloured Polo pony logos on them, which are the ones I have here. The Polo pony logos are all embroidered so they aren't going to wash off, and these cushioned no-show socks are perfect for wearing with trainers or casual footwear. The socks are super soft and comfortable with a terry loop cushioned foot bed to reduce impact on feet and joints, which is why I chose this particular style as my Dad has pretty bad rheumatoid arthritis and so his joints often give him a lot of trouble and if I can help in any way, even by providing comfortable socks, then I will!

For fragrance, I have chosen the Yardley 250 For Him Limited Edition Eau de Parfum* (£25.00 for 100ml). This comes beautifully presented and is a contemporary fragrance, infused with cologne inspired citrus notes and a hint of English Lavender combined with modern, woody nuances. 250 For Him is made from 90% naturally derived ingredients and a vegetable derived alcohol base and is cruelty free and vegan. This Limited Edition fragrance celebrates 250 years of Yardley London's rich and wonderful heritage and 1.5% of net sales will be donated to national cancer support charity Look Good Feel Better, which is very close to my heart as we lost my Mum to cancer and she suffered from it three times since I was a little girl. The top notes of 250 For Him are Bergamot, Cypress, Lavender and Cassis, heart notes include Geranium, Juniper Berries and Pimento Berry and base notes of Cedarwood, Vetiver and Patchouli, making this such a gorgeous fragrance.

Onto something a little more personal, we have the Rubis Needle Nose Tweezer* (Around £20.00). Originally developed to place rubies into watch movements, hence the name, Rubis combines traditional craftsmanship with meticulous quality control. Each pair undergoes a 40-step manufacturing process and is examined under a microscope to ensure perfect tip-to-tip alignment. They are made from the highest grade stainless steel and make easy work of removing ingrown hairs on the face or unwanted hair from the nostrils. They are super lightweight yet sturdy and come in a zip-lock to keep them safe and clean.

If your Dad is the sporty type, then how about the Ultrasun Sports Spray SPF 50* (£28.00 for 150ml)? Originally developed for sports enthusiasts and those who like to be active outside, this non-greasy, transparent formula was designed with simplicity and versatility in mind.
