It was a sad day when Boots closed down their 17/Seventeen makeup range, as I had been using it for many years and it was affordable and fun. Last month saw the return of the brand under the name 17. and I have been trying out quite a lot of their products as they are just so cheap and I was excited to be able to shop with them again.
As I mentioned, I have tried quite a lot of their products to get a good understanding of the brand, and whilst most of the mascaras were pretty disappointing - a dry formula or not really adding to the lashes, there is one stand out product for me and that is the 17. Extreme Extension Lengthening Mascara. This mascara retails for just £4.00 and comes in Black, Brown and Navy. I first picked up Brown which I am in love with, but I since also picked up the Black shade too, which is the one I have here, so that when I am wanting a more intense colour, I can use this one.
This mascara has a rubber bristle wand, which I normally aren't a huge fan of, but combined with the tiny spikes (which don't scratch my eyeline) and the wet, glossy formula, this mascara packs a punch. Even with the brown formula, it manages to lengthen, enhance, and volumise my lashes, and as someone with fair hair, and straight, fine, and short lashes, the result I get from this £4.00 mascara is amazing! I haven't stopped using it since I got it which was why I just had to pick up the Black and I nearly even considered the Navy, which I might buy at a later date, perhaps in Summer when I feel more creative and love to experiment with colour.
I have tried all kinds of mascaras over the years, expensive ones, cheap ones, middle of the road ones, and this one is by far the best I have come across since my beloved Essence Princess Lash Mascara. I would highly recommend it, as it doesn't clump or smudge throughout the day either.
