As I have mentioned before, I love a good cleansing oil as I do suffer from quite dry, dehydrated skin at the moment, and especially on the rest of my body, which often gets very dry and itchy in the colder months. The Eau Thermale Avene XeraCalm A.D Lipid-Replenishing Cleansing Oil has been created for those with dry to very dry, itchy skin and can be used on babies, children and adults. This Cleansing Oil has been specifically designed to gently cleanse and help replenish these skin types as well as eczema-prone skin. The oil texture seals in moisture for 24 hours and helps protect against the drying effect of water, leaving the skin feeling super comfortable and soft. I have definitely noticed a difference in my skin since using it and I don't itch anywhere near as much as I used to previously. Formulated with a minimal number of ingredients to minimise risks of any allergies, the Cleansing Oil is free from fragrance and soap, being gentle on the skin and not stinging the eyes. Even from the first use, I was so pleasantly surprised by how much by dryness, redness and itching had reduced by.
Key active ingredients include I-Modulia, a patented, powerful complex which is derived from Avene Thermal Spring Water, which the brand is well known for, which helps calm itching and irritation that has been caused by dry skin, while helping maintain the skin's natural defence system. Cer-Omega is derived from Evening Primrose and is rich in Omega-6 and Ceramides, providing exceptional hydration to help maintain the skin's epidermal barrier.
The Cleansing Oil can be used on both the face and body, simply applying it to the skin and then rinsing thoroughly and then patting dry. This has transformed my skin, of which when the warmer months come around I am usually ashamed of all of the scars on my legs I get every winter from itching due to dryness, but now my legs are clear and ready for shorts and summer dresses!
