The XX Revolution Mint Master Shadow Palette Review + Swatches

I have been searching high and low for the XX Revolution Mint Master Shadow Palette! I first spotted it a couple of months ago in Boots in Hull, but there was only one left and it was damaged, so at the time I thought, oh I will take a photo and order it online. However, I could not find it anywhere! Not even on Revolution's site. Finally, it was released online so I immediately snapped it up!

The colour story really spoke to me and it is like nothing I already have in my eyeshadow collection. The Palette comes in mermaid-esque green packaging, which opens up to reveal a mirror on the inside of the lid and then 18 eyeshadows. There are so many of my favourite colours in here, and it has a good range of textures too - mattes, shimmers and metallics. There are no shade names, but you get different green tones, creams, peaches, purples, greys, whites and more, and even though it is quite a colourful palette, you also get some more delicate base/crease shades too, so you can create full looks.

The XX Revolution Mint Master Shadow Palette retails for £16.00, making each eyeshadow less than £1.00 and you get a decent amount of product per shadow. The quality is amazing - the mattes are super pigmented and each shimmer and metallic is creamy and luxurious, with maximum shimmer pay off. I think this is a wonderful palette for Spring and Summer, as you can incorporate pops of colour without it being overly bold and bright, or play it down and create something more neutral.

I have nothing against bright colours - I love playing around with bright shadows, but I know it is not everyone's cup of tea and I personally wouldn't use that kind of eye look on an everyday basis, but this palette is definitely usable for pretty much all days and all occasions.

You can find the XX Revolution Mint Master Shadow Palette online here.

  1. Loreal Paris has become a popular women's cosmetics brand. I used to wear Loreal Paris makeup, but as time went on, my budget shrank because I was paying buy medical essay to complete my university's remaining tasks.
