Anastasia Beverly Hills The Daytime Collection Review + Swatches

Thursday 14 March 2019

Anastasia Beverly Hills recently released two brand new collections - a Daytime Collection and a Sunset Collection and I recently ordered the Daytime Collection as it looked super pretty. One of the reasons I loved this collection so much is that it comes in packaging which makes it look like a PR package similar to what You Tubers receive.
The Daytime Collection has warm shades in it, whereas the Sunset Collection has more cool-toned colours, but both are equally as stunning. The only other difference is that the Daytime Collection includes two liquid lipsticks and the Sunset Collection has two lip glosses so is cheaper by a few pounds.
The items are available individually, but it works out a much better deal to get the gift set. The box which the set arrives in reminds me of hazy, dazy Summer afternoons, with rose gold accents, palm trees and warm tones. A fun item included in this kit is a pair of pink heart-shaped see-through sunglasses, which are anti-glare, have 100% UV Protection and even come with a pouch to keep them in. The glasses don't feel cheaply made whatsoever and they sure do help you to see through rose-tinted glasses.
The Daytime Eye Shadow Quad also features tropical rose gold palm trees in-keeping with the theme, and the four shades included are;
*Sunny - a metallic sunset golden yellow
*Sand Castle - a matte sandy nude
*Papaya - a matte pastel orange
*Rose Quartz - a metallic pink with peach shift
The shadows are just full of pigment, and they wear super easily on the lids. You can create so many different eye looks with just these four pans alone and they work perfectly with my blue eyes. I must admit after trying a couple of the ABH Eyeshadow Palettes previously, I haven't been a fan of their formula at all as I found it very chalky, with a ton of fall out, but they seemed to have upped their game with this formula. I hope they continue to use this formula in upcoming palettes.
As mentioned, this set comes with two liquid lipsticks. I think ABH was one of my first ever liquid lipstick brands and I have always adored their formula. These are both metallic shades and so perfect for Spring and Summer, especially Bellini which is a metallic golden peach. My favourite shade of the two is Sunset Peach as it is a metallic dusty mauve and as I have fair skin, this works really well with my skin tone.
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Daytime Collection costs £51 and is available online here

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
