Back in the day I used to always be ordering from my local Avon lady, but for the past few years no one in my area has sold Avon. However, I recently noticed one of my friends had started up with them and so I asked for a brochure to browse through. Whilst flicking through the pages I noticed the Avon True Nourishing Lip Oils, and loved the colours, so I placed an order and was so glad I did.
Lip Oils have been quite big in the beauty world over the last couple of years, with higher end and drugstore brands all releasing their own versions. I used to use the Clarins Lip Oils quite a lot as they are gorgeous, but they are also fairly pricey too, so I thought I would try out the Avon versions as they are much cheaper.
The Avon True Nourishing Lip Oils have a regular price of £7.00 each but as they were newly released they were on offer for £3.50 each, and so I got both shades for the price of one. The two shades available are Blossom and Shimmering Petal. The packaging is adorable, with copper lids and then the pop of colour coming through the base of the tubes.
Blossom looks a bright, vivid pink but on the lips, as it is an oil, it just adds a sheer pop of colour, whereas Shimmering Petal is a lighter pink but with tiny flecks of silver glitter running through it. The applicator is a sponge which has been shaped to make application super easy, even if you don't have a mirror to hand. The Lip Oils are really smooth and glossy, making them feel really nourishing on the lips and not at all dry. Some lip oils I have tried in the past have felt quite gloopy and sticky, but these feel luxuriously thick without that tackiness.
