It's Skin Tiger Cica Calming Water Review

Sunday 26 May 2019

I have tried out quite a few of the It's Skin skincare products recently, and was asked if I would like to try the It's Skin Tiger Cica Calming Water, which with the calming aspect, thought it would be great for Summer which can sometimes dry out or sensitise our skin.
For those new to the brand, It's Skin is a K-Beauty brand with a difference. As Korea's first cosmeceutical brand at a reasonable price, they take science seriously but don't mind having a little fun on the side too. It's Skin produce cute packaging and high-end clinical formulas that really work.

The It's Skin Tiger Cica Calming Water is a water-based soothing toner which contains 64% Centella Asiatica extract to calm, balance and hydrate the skin. If you suffer from breakouts, irritability or sensitive skins, then this is going to be a great skincare choice for you. The Calming Water comes in really cool packaging, and the bottle itself has a very clean look to it, with a pretty mint green colour. You receive 200ml of the toner, which is about average for this kind of skincare product.

Centella Asiatica is a medicinal herb grown on Madagascar Island and is the star ingredient in the Tiger Cica range (they also offer a cleanser and a serum), due to its skin soothing properties. It has previously been known as the Tiger herb due to the fact that tigers would roll around in the plant to help heal their wounds, so this Toner is great for treating any irritation and redness on the skin.
The bottle has a screw-off lid which I found easy to use, and there is a slight, fresh scent to the Calming Water, and I found that it didn't irritate my sensitivity, so there is no need to worry about the delicate fragrance. The Tiger Cica range is formulated with gentle, skin calming ingredients and a weak-acid pH which helps the maintain healthy skin. I use this both morning and night by popping some onto a cotton pad and swiping across my face, neck and decolletage after cleansing.

The It's Skin Tiger Cica Calming Water costs £22.99 for 200ml which is more than you would pay for a drugstore Toner, but as this has such excellent qualities to it, I feel it is definitely worth the price. You can find it online at Beauty Mart here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
