Whilst watching my favourite You Tuber Tati Westbrook (GlamLifeGuru) lately, she was very positive about the Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control SPF50 Foundation. I had never previously come across the brand, but I trust Tati, it mentioned pore control and has SPF50 so I was all over that. I ended up finding it on Amazon although it wasn't easy to find in the UK.
I ordered the shade No.13 Ivory, and I believe that there are just eight shades available, which obviously isn't the best shade range around. This isn't a new foundation, and it has been around for a good few years now, but I do love to try different products. The Laneige Pore Control has a semi-matte finish and is mostly targeted at oily skin tones and as I have combination, with the majority of my face being oily, I knew this would be the best option for me.
Even though it is a BB Cream, the product does have a slight powdery finish and claims to control oiliness which I found worked really well for me. The packaging is pretty, with grey, white and mint along with a holographic finish. The compact opens up to reveal a mirror on the inside of the lid, a sponge puff, and then the foundation itself is protected by another lid. You do also receive a refill which I thought was excellent value, and it means you have a spare on hand whenever you run out.
The majority of Korean cushion foundations have a high SPF rating, and this one comes with SPF50 which is so great. I wish UK foundation brands took this on board as it is so important. The texture is soft and lightweight and although the sponge puff isn't terrible, I much prefer to dip my Beauty Blender in there. This gives a light to medium coverage and it is buildable and very lightweight and cooling on the skin, which is really want you want from a foundation in the Summer time.
With regards to the Pore Control aspect, I couldn't rate this high enough, I tried it without a primer and my pores, which I strongly dislike, were covered and not at all noticeable so A+ to Laneige for that! As I mentioned, it isn't the easiest product to get a hold of here in the UK. I found mine on Amazon for £23.48 which for a large compact of foundation and a spare, I think is excellent value. You can find it on Amazon here.
All the Loves,
