Testing Out... Flormar Makeup

Thursday 1 August 2019

  • Here in the UK we are receiving more and more international brands readily available to buy, which I think is amazing as we are getting to try new products, and pretty much anything and everything we see on Instagram and You Tube. Turkish brand Flormar is the number one makeup brand in their home country and is soon going to be available in Primark. Flormar have a wide range of products available, including pretty much everything you need for the face, as well as nail polishes and more. Here are some products which I have recently been trying out.
The big daddy of this bundle has to be the Flormar Bronzing Powder Face & Body (£8.95). This bronzer compact is huge and features a mirror on the inside of the lid for on-the-go application. There is a pretty sunshine design in the powder itself, and here I have the shade BR04 Sun Kiss, which would be suitable for more light to medium skin tones. It isn't a muddy bronze, and does have the tiniest amount of sparkle to it, without being a glowy/highlighter style bronzer, which I tend to prefer. It feels soft on the skin and blends in beautifully, and with the pan being so large you can definitely use this all over the face and body, whenever you are need of a little warming up.
There are multiple primers, but due to redness on my cheeks I have gone for the Flormar Anti-Blemish Makeup Primer (£6.65), which is part daily treatment, part primer. It has an oil-free formula which works immediately to soothe the skin and to help clear blemishes. The formula is slightly gel-like and quite thick without clogging the pores, and this would be perfect for younger or hormonal skin. I really liked how this gave my skin a nice clean base to work with as it seemed to 'fill in' my pores which is something I suffer quite badly from. You get 35ml of product too and as you only need a small amount per application, this will last you a fair old time.
Next up, we have the Flormar Perfect Coverage Liquid Concealer (£4.95), of which I have the shade 002 Ivory. I found this to have a bit of a peach tone to it, and so I tend to use this as an under-eye concealer rather than an all over concealer. Peach tones tend to cancel out darkness under the eyes, and this one blends beautifully without looking chalky on the skin. The applicator has a double-sided flat sponge which makes it great for around the brows too, although with this shade, I wouldn't be able to do this. Consistency-wise and how long it lasts though, I would definitely love to try this in a lighter tone.
For the lips, I was lucky enough to try out two products, the Flormar Deluxe Cashmere Lipstick Stylo (£4.95) and the Flormar Waterproof Lipliner (£2.95). I was kind of hoping they would be matching colours, but they are quite different. The Flormar Deluxe Cashmere Lipstick Stylo is in the shade Natural Rosewood, which is a gorgeous light coral shade. Corals are my go-to lip colour as they always seem to really suit my fairer complexion and blue eyes. The lipstick comes in a gold bullet and the tip of the lipstick is quite large and flat, which reminds me of a lip balm, but which is great for getting it in one swipe. The lipstick is really creamy and soft on the lips and didn't dry my lips out whatsoever. I received the Flormar Lipliner in the shade 201, which is a great classic warm nude shade. The liner is of the pencil variety and I love how you don't have to press on to the lips hard to get colour pay off, just a soft touch enabled me to line my lips, which is great cos just like our eyes, we have to take great care of our lips too to avoid those wrinkles!
Overall, I am super impressed with the Flormar collection. I think the prices are such great value, and I am looking forward to seeing these and more products in Primark stores. You can check Primark out online here.
All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
