A little while ago, Latest In Beauty brought out their tremendous Beauty Awards boxes, and two of the products I chose were the Burberry Lip Velvet Crush Sheer-Matte Stains. I have tried quite a lot from the Burberry makeup collection and have always been impressed, so I was looking forward to giving these a whirl as it was a formula I hadn't tried out before.
There are twelve shades available of the Velvet Crush formula, including berries, reds, pinks and nudes and the two which I received are No 16 Copper Pink and No 65 Military Red. Copper Pink is a great all-rounder rosy pink, with Military Red is your classic blue-toned red, so we have a natural pink nude for everyday wear and then a bright, bold red.
The Burberry Lip Velvet Crush comes in textured cardboard packaging, and I must admit I was a little disappointed in the actual tube itself. They kind of look a little like a felt tip pen with the packaging and it is plastic and feels a little cheap. Burberry normally have a more metal-style packaging and I feel they let the side down a little with this packaging.
However, the lip product comes out through a soft sponge, and so you twist the pen until some product comes out, but be careful not to over-twist as you don't want too much product at once. The formula glides effortlessly onto the lips, and dries down pretty quickly, so you can then add another coat depending how pigmented you want your finished look to be.
The formula definitely feels very velvety soft and comfortable on the lips, and for that reason I would definitely recommend these. The Burberry Lip Velvet Crush Sheer-Matte Stains cost £24.00 each and you can find them online at Burberry here.
All the Loves,
