KIKO Pop Revolution Collection Review + Swatches

Friday 18 October 2019

I haven't tried out any KIKO makeup for such a long time. I used to go to the KIKO shop in Milton Keynes, near where my family live, whenever my Nanna went shopping, but unfortunately she passed away at the beginning of the year and so I haven't been since. However, they have a brand new collection out, the KIKO Pop Revolution and I have missed how fun and high quality their products are.
The KIKO Pop Revolution collection is full of geometric patterns and textures, featuring products that recall vintage vinyls and shades with a retro charm, allowing you to recreate the mood of the past with a modern twist. The Pop Revolution collection features makeup, skincare and accessories, and so there is something for everyone.

First up, we have my favourite product of the three I was kindly gifted, the KIKO Pop Revolution Eyeshadow Palette (£9.99), which is available in three colour options, including the one I have here, 03 Bordeaux-Gold. The compact comes as a little vinyl record, and features two eyeshadows and a mirror on the inside of the lid. If you want metallic and sparkle this upcoming party season, then look no further. The formula is stunning, and the shades are extremely pigmented and super soft once you apply them to the lids, which is great as it means there is no pulling or tugging on the delicate eye area. The shade Bordeaux is a pink-toned red which is just stunning, and along with the yellow-toned Gold, makes such an amazing Autumnal pairing. Each swipe gives the most amazing coverage and can be used either with fingertips or with a brush.
We then have the KIKO Pop Revolution Blush To Go (£9.99), which comes in a format I haven't tried for years! You simply unscrew the lid, and there is a sponge applicator which has been resting in the Blusher which hides within the lid. So all you have to do is unscrew the lid, and apply the sponge straight onto the cheeks. I was a little worried when I first saw this style of application, as I didn't know if I would get a huge deep circle of product, but it actually applies really delicately and feels slightly creamy on the skin. There are four shades available, and so there should be something to suit the majority of skintones, and here I have 01 Rose, which is a beautiful English Rose shade that adds a pop of colour to the cheeks.
The KIKO Pop Revolution Lip Stylo (£9.99) is available in eight very Autumnal shades, which I live for at this time of year. I was kindly sent the shade 02 Brick, which is a delicious warm, slightly orange-toned red, which reminds me of the colour of maple leaves, and it really is the perfect lip colour for this time of year. The Lip Stylos are in stick form, and they carry quite a lot of product, which releases by you twisting the stylo. The lipstick itself has a slanted tip to it, which makes application super quick and easy, and the formula is ultra creamy and again, very pigmented, and I found that one swipe was plenty. It has a pretty satin finish, and doesn't dry out the lips, which is especially useful at this time of year.
You can find the KIKO Pop Revolution collection online at KIKO here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
