Tarte Fall Feels Eye & Cheek Palette Review + Swatches

Sunday 20 October 2019

There is something so cosy and heartwarming about Autumn, and I must admit as much as I love pastels and bright colours, warm, Autumnal shades definitely suit me the most when it comes to makeup. When I saw the Tarte Fall Feels Eye & Cheek Palette, I knew I would get a lot of use out of it, and so here it is...
Now, let me just get this out of the way - the pink tartan does not remind me of Autumn, it reminds me of something Avril Lavigne would wear back in the day. Tarte, I do think a nice red, green or burnt orange (specifically lol), would have looked a lot nicer. Obviously, this doesn't affect the actual products, but I think packaging is important and I like to put my 2 cents in.
This flannel palette opens up to reveal a black tartan background and a circular mirror on the inside of the lid. There are seven eyeshadows and one blush, including two neutral matte transition shades, and five metallics. The blush, Fall Feels is a very pretty neutral pink shade, which will suit the majority of skin tones, and I suppose you could also use this as an eyeshadow too. The eyeshadow shades in the Fall Feels palette are;
* Homecoming - Matte Cream
* Hayride - Matte Light Brown
* Corn Maze - Metallic Warm Gold
* Pumpkin Patch - Metallic Burnt Orange with Gold Glitter
* Apple Picking - Pink-Toned Red with Silver Glitter
* Sippin' Cider - Metallic Forest Green
Tailgate - Metallic Midnight Blue with Blue Glitter
I really think that this is such a versatile palette, and I love that Tarte have included a couple of transitional shades in there so that you can create complete looks. The warm-toned metallics are going to look stunning, and the cooler-toned metallics will be great for a pop of colour, or a coloured smoky eye look. If you have tried Tarte eyeshadows before, you will know how crazy good they are - with excellent pigmentation, zero fall out, and they are so easy to blend.
The Tarte Fall Feels Eyes & Cheek Palette retails for £22.00, which I think is pretty darn reasonable for such a high quality palette and it works out at just £2.75 a blush or shadow! You can find it online at Tarte here.

All the Loves,
