This festive period, cult haircare brand Pureology have teamed up with illustrator Melanie Johnsson to create three limited edition sustainable Christmas gift sets. Pureology is a vegan and no-nasties colour care hair brand and Melanie is an illustrator who lives in Margate, UK. Her work is bold, fun and colourful and she loves the planet, only working with eco-friendly brands.
The three gift sets available are Stronger Than Ever, which is perfect for damaged colour-treated hair, Blonde & Bright, which will keep brassiness at bay for blondes, and the one I have here, Happily Hydrated. All three come in gorgeously bright and fun packaging, and you could absolutely re-use the canister the products come in.
The Pureology x Melanie Johnsson Happily Hydrated Gift Set is the ultimate haircare set for dry, dull colour treated hair and features three key products, the Pureology Hydrate Shampoo (250ml), the Pureology Hydrate Conditioner (250ml) and the Pureology Colour Fanatic (200ml). If you were to buy the products separately, the Shampoo would cost £19.95, the Conditioner £23.10, and then Colour Fanatic £25.25, totalling £68.30, however this gift set retails for £46.00, so you are more or less getting one full-sized product free, and the lovely gift packaging.
The Pureology Colour Fanatic Spray is a multi-purpose treatment spray, that delivers a whopping 21 essential benefits to prime, protect and perfect colour-treated hair. It has a unique Anti Fade Complex which has antioxidant fennel extract to protect the hair from environmental aggressors and heat damage caused by styling tools. Ingredient-wise, you will find vegetable-based Keravis to strengthen the hair and a blend of natural oils, including coconut and olive to smooth and condition the hair, leaving it looking and feeling super soft and gorgeous.
The Pureology Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner are perfect for this time of year, when our hair is a little dry, and not at its best. They gently cleanse the hair without stripping it of colour and its organic moisturising formula hydrates dry, colour-treated hair to give you soft and lustrous hair, while protecting the colour vibrancy. As with all conditioners, I do like to keep them on a little longer than the Shampoo, and if I have time, then I love to add a little extra to the ends of my hair, where it is drier, and sit back and relax in the bath to let it work its magic. The Pureology Hydrate Conditioner is formulated with anti-fade complex, and so it will hydrate and moisturise the hair without taking away the colour and is an excellently nourishing and conditioning treatment for dry, damaged hair.
The Pureology x Melanie Johnsson Happily Hydrated Gift Set is available on Look Fantastic here, where it retails for £46.00.
