Primark Beauty: Black Cherry Face Palette & Eyeshadow Sticks Review + Swatches

Monday 18 November 2019

I always enjoy a new Primark Beauty collection, and one of their most recent is the Black Cherry collection, which does have Urban Decay vibes, but the products themselves are mostly different. The Black Cherry collection contains an eyeshadow palette, a blush and highlight palette, false nails, eyeshadow sticks, liquid lipsticks and regular lipsticks.
They didn't have the full collection in my local store, and it was just before payday, so I only picked up the items I most loved the look of. The first is the Primark Beauty Black Cherry Glow Luxe Blush & Highlight Palette, which retails for £6.00, which I don't think is bad as the packaging is really good quality for the price, and you do get five good-sized pans in the palette. As you open up this face palette, there is a full-sized mirror on the inside of the lid, and then those five highlighter and blush shades. There are two highlighter shades and three blush shades.
Left to right in the palette, we have a golden champagne shimmery highlighter, a soft pink highlighter with rose gold shimmer, a matte nude blush, a vibrant pink-red matte blush and a soft coral matte blush. I think the only shade that doesn't work for me within this palette is the bright red-pink shade as I have fair to light skin and as much as I tried, I couldn't get this to work for me. The pigment in both the highlighters and blushers is second to none, and for the price you really cannot complain. The blushers work amazingly well, but the highlighters have my heart, they look seamless on the skin and so, so beautiful.
As much as I love makeup, I don't always want to be spending every morning doing a full eyeshadow look, but sometimes I do still want a bit of colour on the lids, which is why I really like shadow sticks. There are three shades of the Primark Beauty Black Cherry Shimmer Shadow Sticks available and they cost just £2.00 each which I think is really good value considering how much some of my higher-end shadow sticks cost.
The shades available are, Crimson, a metallic autumnal red, Fantasy, a metallic light rosy pink with lots of shimmer, and Starry Eyed, a light champagne metallic full of silver glitter. These are so easy and effortless to use, and for just £2.00 each, I would 100% pick up other shades if Primark brought out Shimmer Sticks in future collections as they are so soft and creamy, therefore not dragging on the delicate eye area.
You can check out Primark online here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
